Lots to unpack in this little sentence you keep throwing out. First of all, I havent seen anyone question the family. There have been people expressing common day concerns about over exposure of young athletes. This is a common issue in most sports and history is littered with athletes having to much exposure at a young age side track their career whether injury, mental issues (going to their head, burnout, etc), and the standard issues with these big clubs.

I've already pointed out that this website universally is against loan army clubs. So besides that inconsistency, players career decisions get questioned on here everyday. If this was really a concern of yours, you would spend all your time defending these players.

I consistently see people claiming Gio's camp really screwed him over with the recent loan and are questioning him staying at BVB. It wasn't ideal, but sitting on the bench in the EPL for half a season is still a better than sitting on the bench for the club he has been with for years. There isnt anything in the Sullivan camp that makes me think they should be questioned less than the Reyna's and Pulisic's.

Since you won't stop making stuff up, I am going to start questioning everything about the Sullivan's. From where I sit, they have made a ton of questionable decisions and appears money has been a top priority. If this kid isn't a top player in the world, I am going to pick apart every mistep they made. If his career gets sidetracked, I expect that i will be unbearable.

Amazon is now flooded with self-published, AI written titles that are pumped out to sucker people into paying a few bucks for them.

So it's "real" but I'd imagine it was written by chatGPT.

Wasn’t there a thing about how he couldn’t go with the first team to Canada for a game recently because he was 14. Could be the same thing here, but I’m not sure.

Trying to figure out which narrative I want to think and believe:

    A. They prioritized him with the first team because they actually think he is a factor to be used in specific situations.
    or
    B. He can't legally play in Canada

We've yet to see him really play off the bench with the first team, but I also don't think Philly most recent end games have been the situations he'd be used

He played in Canada with Union 2 back in June. Not sure what is different now. Curtin has a habit of putting kids on his bench and they end up not playing for the first team or U2.

    I think B.

This was in an article about playing with the first team, but should apply to second team as well.

"That homegrown deal helped pave the way for Sullivan to debut, but it's been tricky as the Union have also had to manage child labor laws to ensure that his debut happens at the right time. When the Union faced Toronto FC over the weekend, Sullivan wasn't able to play due to Canadian laws paving the way for his debut at home in Chester."

Union have also been accussed of skirting child labor laws in Pennsylvania, but probably a gray area with sports and likely to not be enforced because technically 14/15 year olds can't work after 7 on school night or after 9 regardless.

I’m not as worried about this season because he’s better off playing for the 2nd team who usually plays before 7pm because of labor laws.

I am worried about him getting time next season since MLS tends to have games at or after 7:30. With the 9pm curfew for him I guess that would mean he’d need to get subbed out around the 60th minute if he earns starts next season.

I think what's going on is simple (Canada question aside).
In 2024, Cavan Sullivan is first depth. Nothing more, nothing less.
There might be situations in which he plays. Not many.
Isn't that what we could have hoped for when the season began???????

I personally would prefer that he plays matches for Phillly 2 than sitting on the bench for Philly 1.
But having some first team experiences also isn't a bad thing.

People need to relax. He's still 14 years old for another month or so. He'll be getting MLS minutes next season.

Was he a pro then? I feel like it might genuinely change things.
