There's a press conference on Friday where Mijatovic, Capello, Michel and Calderon will explain the sporting plan. Should be mildly interesting.

What do you guys think of Capello playing Salgado instead of Cicinho.

Imo Salgado WAS better defensively but atm he isnt better than Cicinho, not even defensively. Cicinho should be given a chance to prove himself.

I agree, I think its too easy to get around Salgado now. No matter how bad Cicinho is at defending its still better than putting Salgado out there who is not so great at defence himself and does not attack well either. Cicinho>Salgado.

Two intersting topics will be the Robinho issue, and if Capello will give Raul Bravo another chance and plays Ramos on the right.

No frickin' way jose. Ramos won't play on the right. He owns the CB spot next to Cannavaro. Cicinho and Salgado are two excellent choices to the right. Why the h-e-l-l did capello ship Woody out is a stunner. Now they'll have to do with Mejia, Helguera and Pavon (+Bravo) being the replacement CBs.

I want to know what's the deal with Robinho. It'll really piss me off if Capello hangs him out to dry just because HE doesn't like Robinho's playing style. And why do you have to play the golden oldie, huh?? Send Raul to the bench like you did with Del Piero and let our number 10 play!!!

don't think they did from the report in www.as.com but it's hard to decipher that auto-translatation sometimes. I so gather they're still banging on about kaka, short term objectives and all the usual propeganda.- nobody asked how they intend to safegaurd the longer term future by hanging on to players like robinho who might not get a lot of playing time under capello.
will be interesting to see how it develops.......

Gravesen calls Capello an egotist, for never having even seen him play and shoving him out the door without a chance.

There is an interesting quote at the end of this, where he says our players were talented "but only 3 of them were willing to run."

Gravesen is nuts, i hope you know that. He will say anything just to make it worse for Real Madrid.

This may be true, but the way Capello discarded Diogo, Jurado, tried to toss Cicinho, and Woodgate, makes me think Grav aint too far off the plot. What did he say that's inaccurate? Capello did come here with an agenda and hardly gave those outside his fold a chance to do what they do.

You may not care now, but when Robinho leaves it may come into focus.

Still, Gravesen was left out since Caro's reign. We all knew that Gravesen was bound to leave RM even before Capello came.

On the Robinho matter though, I hope you are wrong. But even if it happens, i would blame Calderon and not Capello. Anyway I doubt that will happen.

I am so happy to finally have a coach who can say yes or no to players with respect to his team strategy. If some decent players get the axe, that's just life at the top. Hell, we were trying to get rid of Ronaldo and he has done more and will do more than Gravedigger.

So, Gravedigger really shouldn't take it personally. He really should take an chill pill. Oh, wait... he doesn't take pills. Not even an aspirin. I guess that explains why is so nuts.

Can you really say that when you have Beckham and Raul starting everytime?
    Is it really strategy?

Gravesen is a poor player, but he has a point.

Exactly. Its not really a coach that axes whoever he wants to whenever he wants to. I think favorititsm is a better word for it.

Like I said, no one cares when its Gravesen getting sold, Jurado getting sold, Diogo getting loaned, Cicinho put out on the block, and Woodgate loaned out with a permanent option to buy. When a player of RObinho's caliber leaves, then people may understand what I'm talking about.

They have only started one game so far. And, if it takes a few more games for him to be forced to drop the two of them, so be it. I can live with that. I couldn't live with the past coaches going more that a few games before dropping them... and especially dropping Raul before Becks.

Exactly - calderon would be to blame - he is resonsible for the long term future of the club not Capello.

i really don't want robinho to leave - it would be a disaster in both sporting and commercial terms, but i can see it happening and wouldn't blame Robinho if he did put in a transfer request if , as is apparent, he is not in capello's plans for the season.:(

Every game? Come one, we've only played one game this season!

I'm defenetly not pro-capello (big cicinho and robinho fan) but give the man a chance
