I first heard of it here. Like water off a ducks back. Glad to see you are on top of things. Tell me more about Joao Felix!!!
Damn, you guys lost to the team that tied Curacao? That's embarrassing. And you have the highest paid manager in the world? The highest paid manager in the world that led you to 4 losses in a row for the first time in over a decade?
FC Porto looked like trash at this World Club Cup. I watched the 4-4 game and old ass Marcano was performing miracles along with Claudio Ramos. The Egyptians could have scored 3 or 4 more goals. There must of been over 50 give aways. Either the players didn't care or that is all they can do which will make next season a fight for top 6. Our coach doesn't have a clue with what to do. Porto better fire him fast.
I hear Estaquio is registered for the Gold Cup so after his amazing performances at the World Club Cup, he will lead Canada to glory
I saw parts of it later on a replay. Was barely paying attention. To think Jonathan David is playing in this thing without a contract is ballsy. I commend him for his dedication to the shirt but if he gets injured? Sometimes these matches can be a blessing in disguise to wake a team up but that was ugly.
A real killer from FC Porto's online forum: "O Fcporto foi convidado a disputar uma competição por resultados feitos por um Fcporto que já não existe." PDC's aura was so strong that he literally transferred his energy down to the football team itself. He was ruthless, so they were too. FC Porto players play scared now. It's genuinely incredible to see. FC Porto before PDC was a completely different club, regional. In the shadows of Benfica and Sporting. PDC took that club and turned them into football royalty, a winner not only of a European Cup but also a Champions League in the modern format - the last one possibly ever by a team outside the Top 5 leagues. And what happens if you don't prepare a proper successor? Institutional inversion. FC Porto was a very different club before PDC and the one after him already is.
PDC is the goat president and all, but this current Porto is also his fault. His last 5 years were brutal and as much of a cvnt as he is, Conceicao did a pretty incredible job with some truly shit squads.
Yep - that's what I meant with a lack of a successor plan. Warren Buffett has one. PDC didn't. They're paying for it now. I don't think even PDC realized how important he was to FC Porto.
Lol damn Porto is a fucking circus right now https://www.abola.pt/futebol/notici...a-sem-acordo-para-a-saida-2025062515094020589
Even these draftees want nothing to do with the dump of Toronto https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/g8UAJJrIDH
LMAO. Not going to lie that's pretty funny. In his defence like 99% of American's he probably hasn't even been out of his hometown or could could locate the city of a map.
“What I said was not a bad thing by any means,” laughed Murray-Boyles, noting that Toronto was the first team he had worked out for after declaring for the draft. ”I’m just very thankful for it. That was a surreal moment to hear my name called by this organization that has a good history and have really good players right now. Bobby Webster (Raptors GM) adds: “A lot of teams will tell the players that they are getting picked, but we don't so I don’t think he knew,” said Webster. “I think it was truly a reaction to it happening.”
This is 100% it. Americans, even the rich ones, barely know other countries exist. And if they have heard of them, they instantly assume the other country is a fascist/communist hell hole
True. These guys in the Draft probably think winters in Toronto are worse than Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota, Cleveland, Boston, Milwaukee.
