I almost had a stroke reading this. Good interview, but check out the third from last answer he gives. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/feature?id=265305&cc=5901
Yep! That'll be a great comeback (for those of you who don't know this - Ramiro already played in three games for US Nats in 1997-98: http://www.sams-army.com/index.php?Mlist=player&Pid=57)
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be the greatest comeback since Frank Reich vanquished the Oilers on a crisp Buffalo afternoon.
His only interesting pick, but... good eye Bruce, good eye. The only caveat I would add is Ramiro only approaches national team consideration in the middle of the park: one of two or three center mids or, experimentally, a center back. New look players often get a flank job. This would not suit Ramiro.
I'm glad for Ramiro. He's a solid player. My thought has always been that he's too slow for national team duty, especially on the flanks. But he is so consistent, versatile, coo-headed and talented that I'm glad to see him get a shot.
