Six points, clearly spelled out, as a kind of side-statement to a fresh resolution. Deadline would be March 21, instead of March 17th. 1. Saddam appear on television and pledge to give up weapons of mass destruction -- 2. Allow 30 of its scientists to be interviewed outside the country with their families in tow 3. Surrender stocks of anthrax and other biological and chemical agents or produce documents to demonstrate what happened to them 4. Destroy banned missiles; 5. Account for unmanned aerial vehicle 6. Hand over all mobile bio-production laboratories for destruction. Good luck.
Well at least we are trying to say this is disarmament, you must do this to be disarmed. Rather than being vague about it. It is a good starting point in my mind. It provides some clarity to what is disarmed and what are the key issues the US and Britian have. The first one is funny though as the Bushies have repeatedly said he is a chronic liar.
Takes one to know one. Yeah, that first one is odd. The cynic in me thinks it's to make Saddam look weak, with the intent of being a dealbreaker.
Personally I'd love nothing more than to see Saddam go, but if this is the only way to get things done and keep Blair in office, I'm all for it. Alex
Did you like Blair this much when he was Clinton's lap dog, or only since he made the seamless transition to Bush lap dog?
