There were many on this board that followed the lead and we have formed the Supporters Group. We all had input in the name and we have started this supporters Group. If you care to join the cause please email nycfcfan@gmail.com Also we have www.myspace.com/nycfc We are going to have meets and updates on our plans to spread the word about our group. Please get in touch with us to lend a hand. So you know I have been in discussions with local clubs to gain tickets for group outings as well as possibly promoting us on their web sites. I have reached out to officials of the league to let them know we are here. What we are going to need is more names. I would like to put together a petition. Please get in touch and share your ideas. Thank You, The Borough Boys
Just so you all know - there are two Co - Founders of Borough Boys myself and Southpaw817 - If you have any questions, contact one of us!
If anyone has any logo ideas for the group please send them in jpeg format to the gmail address. Thank You
I'm glad we have the offical supports groups settled. You guys count me in. We need to get together at Nevada Smiths or another bar and get a drink!
Absolutely Kings! We are going to get together for some delicious adult beverages before Christmas, then have a big meeting after New Years.Spread the word,we have to work our butts off to make this happen.
Not sure if you emailed NYCFCFAN@gmail.com - please do so. It is our mailing list. I think in the next few weeks we will have a celebration of our existance and as southpaw said, after the HOlidays we will start working our tails off!
Check out what I found on the Internet. It's a tile from the Brooklyn Bridge subway station. But it works very well for the Borough Boys.
KICK AAASSS!!!! dunno about the rest of u guys, but this gets my vote for Borough Boys logo. just hope their ain't no copyright bullsh*t. good going KingsCountyFC. best i've since since the dead rabbit phase.
I'm going to go to the station myself, and take a real up close picture this week. I just need to find what exact station it's at. If anybody can clean it up a bit, you are welcome to change it up or add more to it.
That would be a very cool logo, its def a good starting point.Send it to the gmail account so we can send it to everyone to look at,thanks.
The eagle plaques are at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall stop on the 4/5/6 (East Side IRT in the old currency), but if I remember it correctly, you can't get to them unless you have access to the old local platforms, instead of the currently open center platforms. The MTA Museum from time to time allows guided tours down to the old side platforms, which aren't usually well-lighted enough to see the eagles from the open platforms. That picture is the best you're gonna get. Nice, though.
http://www.forgotten-ny.com/SUBWAYS/originalstations/brooklyn-bridge-eagle1.jpg This is where I copied the image from. If anybody can do a better job in seperating the background from the actual tile, be my guest.
Crest shape taken from the NYC city seal with the crown of the Statue of Liberty in the background. Five stars represent the five boroughs and the Liberty Torch stands for NYCs values and blazing spirit, and for sportsmanship (referencing the Olympic Flame).
I updated my flag for BB. It now has the Dutch on the Bottom from the Brooklyn Flag. Een Draght Mackt Maght, meaning: In Unity There is Strength.
I think it would be awesome for the Borough Boys to show up at a Mets game. I wanna scream "Gol!! Gol!!!! Gol!!!! Gol!!!!" every time the Mets score a run. That would definitely get the Wilpons attention. All we are saying, is give us a team!!!!!!
I think that is a better idea than showing up at a Red Bull game. Show you support right in front of Wilpon's nose. That would really get his attention.
This is an idea we all need to get behind. Plan this out and get it going. Hopefully a day where there will be national network coverage!
