Lovren's making me nervous. They have had the better chances.

5 pts to go. Maybe we can win it at the Etihad?

Rusty and rather blunt in front of goal fro all the pretty approach play. The front players need to up there were enough chances created to score at least one.

The less said about Lovren, the better.

Let’s get back to the VVD and Gomez pairing (that said I do like Matip as a passer).

we needed Robertson - that’s just not Gomez’s game at left back (yeah yeah emergency).

    Stink, stank, stunk!

I expected much better especially in the second half. The players that we bring on should be of much higher quality than what Everton can bring on. Firmino needed to put that chance away in the first half

Not our day at all. Too much just wasn't right.

Gomez at left back. No Salah. Lovren coming on.

Even the players who were doing well couldn't give us 90 minutes. Minamino and Keita looked very good, and it didn't help when they came off.

Ox and Divock had very little impact, and when Mane moved to the middle it took him out of the game.

I thought Klopp could have been way more creative when Matip got injured, especially if Salah was available. Fabinho could have moved to CB, Ox to midfield, and Mo on the right. Or Gomez could have moved to CB, Gini to LB, Ox to midfield, and Mo on the right. Anything would have been better than Lovren. Everton almost won it with Lovren on.

Maybe Burnley take something off of City and its back on for Wednesday. Otherwise, we will go to the Ethiad needing something from the game. Our day will come.

He's not good enough for Liverpool any more and his confidence seems to be incredibly fragile.

I like Gomez in the middle as well but I thought Matip did very well overall. Too bad Williams can't play on the left

Not having Salah made Trent's life much harder on the right. Not having Robertson made Mane's life much harder on the left. Neither side was right in this one.

Oh well. Just a ton of physical and mental rust today.

Beat Palace, get at least 1 point from City (Burnley won't) = job done ....

And there is a weird scenario where Citeh may drop points against Chelsea before we play them.

Damnit. Millie looked ok when he went off but I'm reading that it could be hamstring. Shit.

Yep , today was largely about kicking off a lot of rust both physical and mental. Everton chose to sit deep much of the game and our lack of sharpness was obvious as we rarely threatened at all.

But overall I don't read too into this game , much like early preseason matches. We will get sharper but hopefully we don't lose to many guys to injuries as they gain their match fitness. Milners hammy could potentially see him miss the rest of the season .

Keita and Firmino had us dominating, I felt, but Klopp is probably concerned that these guys don;t get too overstretched at the outset. Mane he prob is less concerned about as the man is virtual machine.....

Reckon if those two had stayed on we prob would have scored, but I'll take a tough point at this stage......
Also Trent very wasteful of good ball today, and andy wasn;t there to counterbalance that .... so again, I'll take it.... What's the prognosis on Andy Robertson 's availability for City?

No gatherings of any supporters. A credit to both your clubs and our city.
The eyes of the country and the world were on Merseyside this afternoon. You have proven what fantastic supporters we have and for that we can not thankyou enough.
