This is an example of why Musk is a clown All his deploys are buggy and poorly tested, because he doesn't have the right people/processes NEW: Elon Musk's war on bots took an outrageous turn over the weekend when Twitter abruptly blocked traffic from 30 major telecom companies in the Asia-Pacific region, prompting hundreds of thousands of legit accounts to lose access: https://t.co/ktw1kFgZx4— Zoë Schiffer (@ZoeSchiffer) December 13, 2022
“Elon Musk is a clown” If Musk is a clown, what are the people in this thread who regularly voice various modalities of hatred and yet are hanging on his every move? He’s many things, but “clown” seems to be about as far from a descriptor as one could get.
Musk monitor alert! If you can't do a basic deploy without blocking a large part of your own user base you are a clown - regardless of "modalities of hatred"
With all that is going on with twitter post Musk, how safe should we feel about Tesla's software? To be clear, if the reports are true and Twitter had the issues before, this is a pre-existing issue.
I think the still remaining Musk worship is kind of funny but I guess if Henry Ford was around during the internet age, he'd be worshiped too.

Interesting if true Intentional? Ukrainians can’t open twitter accounts. https://t.co/DEueATI7Ad— Mueller, She Wrote (@MuellerSheWrote) December 13, 2022 and by interesting,….I mean really really ********ed up. Like national security ********ed up. Like Musk should have the DOJ camped out in his asshole ********ed up.
Clown car update Elon Musk's Twitter is:-No longer paying rent at any of its offices-Reconsidering whether to pay employees severance -Not working with lawyer Alex Spiro-Getting legal help from SpaceXLatest w/ @MikeIsaac, @kateconger, @nytmike https://t.co/KVisOKN2Nv— Ryan Mac 🙃 (@RMac18) December 13, 2022
Couple of thoughts here. 1. Not paying rent is likely a negotiation technique to break the leases and move to either SpaceX or Tesla HQ. Given how small Twitter's staff is, there's no reason for them to have a separate HQ from Musk's other companies. This also allows Musk to leverage the staff for the other companies. 2. Not paying severance is, likely, not a real thing.. Well, real in that it is likely to happen. It's more of a thing where the CEO goes "How much would it cost really?" The cost of litigation and fines is easily far more than what Twitter would pay in honoring the severance packages.
1)I am really going to enjoy the Tesla shareholder lawsuits 2)Is Space X a viable company if not for US Gov defense and commercial contracts? I hope we find out. We better find out.
Yeah, if even one of these are true, not good. This is a public company? I'm surprised the CSO stayed longer than a month.
Agreed. It shows how much he has likely destroyed the revenue side of Twitter There has been some talk that a refi is already under discussion which gives an idea of how badly things have gone just weeks into it. The idea is that Musk would buy out some of the expensive Twitter debt at a discount with cash or new debt leveraged against Tesla stock. This is a good deal for Musk as it reduces unsustainable interest costs on twitter balance sheet, but potentially just throws billions of good money after bad
There are plenty of examples from business of people doing very clever things, then doing very dumb things out of hubris and arrogance. Zuckerburg and Meta come to mind. Usually it happens due to poor corporate governance.
Sure, but its debatable as to whether or not Twitter had much of a future as a preachy government utility.
Musk Monitors will dismiss the decline in Tesla's stock as a general correction unrelated to Musk, but there is emerging evidence that is not true. YouGov has found significant damage to the Tesla Brand. i.e liberals (who are the main market) now have a net negative perception. Why Teslas's board don't act on this is remarkable, The politicisation of the consumer facing brand has no value to the company and steep downsides Tesla started 2022 with a net-positive score of 5.9%, then peaked in May at 6.7%. In early November, it fell to a negative-1.4% reading, according to a survey by U.K.-based research firm YouGov.https://t.co/NkyVLyXzx5— MarketWatch (@MarketWatch) December 12, 2022
New York Times, LA Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News…all news outlets are used for corporate synergy and to disseminate both public and private propaganda. Bezos has Washington Post, in classic Musk fashion he buys the biggest next gen media outlet: Twitter.
Even accepted this framework - Bezos didn't precede to wreck WAPOs business model. That is what is nonsense here. There was no need to wildly overpay for Twitter in a toxic takeover, then alienate all the advertisers. He could have come in calmly, restructured, and pivoted the business model while breaking even. That is the whole advantage of going private!
But he can't be a clown because we're all watching and laughing at his ridiculous antics. Or so I've been told.
