Who was the best ever player from Uruguay? Many great players appeared for this country in history, but in your opinion, who really deserves title as the best ever?

Scarone is the best, with Schiaffino and Nasazzi closely following.

Well, I was little subjective and gave my vote to the the greatest captain in history of this sport. Also I would go for Schiaffino, Scarone and very underrated player Walter Gómez!

    Juan Alberto Schiaffino, el "Pepe".

Está muy bien hecha la lista, tal vez quitaría a Dario Pereyra y pondría a Ruben Sosa, pero solo eso.

Pepe is in convincing lead at the moment, he was a very complete player, with all qualities at the highest level. Technically perfect player, had an excellent game overview, superb dribbling skills and excellent scoring ability. With Jacinto he was key member of Maracana triumph.

I must say that one player delighted me, his name is Julio Abbadie. Also very underrated player in football history. Amazing player.. I've watched him on WC 54 and he was simply unstoppable, alongside with Borges they were fantastic pair on the wings.. His speed with ball at his feet was something amazing, he had hypnotizing dribbling..I really enjoyed watching him on the field..

Don't be ridiculous, top six are Maradona, Pele, DiStefano, Cruyff, Garrincha and Puskas. After that, Beckenbauer, Platini, Zico and Eusebio follow in the top ten. Schiaffino can definitely make a claim for top twelve however, along with Best, Moreno and Didi.
