I say it is by far starcraft. warcraft doesnt have the speed of starcraft. its about getting the right mix of units against his army. Starcraft is more about speed, massing up, hitting the right place, taking down expansion, and choosing the right place to fight.

also, any computer can play starcraft. why does warcraft 3 have to be so tech-heavy?

    You're right. It's Starcraft.
It's unbelievable how many people still play that game. Newer games come and go, but Starcraft pretty much nailed it.

Yep, Starcraft was pretty much the only one that could hold my attention. Both complex and simple at the same time.

i wonder why. the greatest threat to the throne was WarCraft 3, but i find that the game has much less strategy involved.

I think starcraft had awesome balance with very unique strategic units like siegetanks, drop ships, medic etc. The fact that you have to expand, and that it is much easier to expand is another reason.

The whole having to level up your home base 2 times before you make decent units is stupid. Once its dead, you're pretty much screwed, with nil chance of surviving and winning with your expansion.

I was a fan of Soldiers at War: Battle of the Bulge and Soldiers at War: Russian Front.

    Tough games.
