Personally I don't believe height matters much in strikers as people think.

Short strikers that have done well are Del Pierro,Pato,Tevez,Villa are all the same height as Jara. I'm not comparing to skill but there are some fantastic goal scoring short players. Most guys that are Cardozo's height aren't the best goal scorers but they work rather well a short with tall striker. Though two short strikers could work well, if fast enough they can beat you with pace and if they can't, they'll draw fouls

I'm sorry, but I don't believe that. Can you exemplify any powerful team that plays with only short forwards?

You know as well as I do that against defensive parking bus teams or even agile world class CBs, midgets will do shit.

Against teams that park the bus would foul smaller players or smaller players would get around them. Miccoli and Nuno Gomes are not the tallest strikers around and scored lots together. In two years together they combined for 48 goals. Miccoli's partner at Palermo isn't THAT tall either Cavani and they both have over 10 goals in Italy. Rooney and Tevez they're not that tall either and scored loads,50 goals in 2 seasons. That whole United team isn't that tall either apart from Berbatov in attack.

Skill and technique will beat strength and size any day of the week.

Nuno Gomes, Rooney and Cavani have an average height. Since when do they fit the definition of midgets?

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Find a Cavani.

Not sure in todays modern football, where being an athletic footballer seems to be IT, the small, skilled and technique players are way more exciting to watch. :buonanotte: :messi:

Sell them ASAP. DiMaria proved that hecan't be expected to perform in big games so it's all gain for Benfica.

D.Luiz will be next to impossible to replace.

I don't think so. I think we will feel his absence next year, but Sidnei, Roderick, and Victor should be capable of filling his boots in the next 4 years. Your telling me Miguel Victor who is 2 years younger, and Miranda, 4 years younger, can't develop into that type of player?

I believe that they can. Sidneí is the long-term replacement of Luisão but M. Vitor and Roderick can fill D. Luiz shoes next season.

I think the problem of many fans is that D. Luiz has flair and is versatile. Not to mention his good passing and abnormal technique for a CB. However, those attributes are just a bonus.

    Oh, and lol:

Hollllyyyyy crap. Best of luck to both Luiz and Di Maria. I will be following their entire careers. Even better that they end up on the same team! Im a new ManCity fan :D

Remember, ManCity is offering 40 million POUNDS for Di maria and 35 million POUNDS for Luiz. 75 million pounds = 87 million EUROS!!!

Benfica gets money out the ass, thats some expensive sh*t! :D
