Personally, I want to keep Yebda. Im a fan of his. But if he does indeed go to St. Ettiene, that would be a smart move. The kid got talent.

Seems like a good player. What position does he play?

    2nd striker/attacking mid.
If Yebda goes to St. Etienne, that may not be the smartest of moves: the team is fighting not to get relegated. He would go from a team that at the very least plays in the UEFA Cup, year in year out to playing in the French 2nd div.

Bringing Machado to Benfica would be a good move for us as well. The boy has talent and has featured very prominently for St. Etienne. It would also give us another winger, although a another left footed one. I rate him higher then Coentrao.

Di Maria wants to leave. I say let him, hes on the bench anyways so it wont be a big loss. We can get big $$$ for him. But since Reyes is leaving, we need someone on the left so next season could be his time to shine if he stays.

Well Reyes is leaving, and Di Maria will most likely be sold, on top of already wanting to leave because of lack of playing time. So we'll need another one.

Let Cardoso and Luisao go and with the money get Nilmar from Internacional.

Nilmar has been disgusting, even when he was at Lyon. But I think one of the reasons no one has scooped him yet is the price tag on his head. Its like 15 Million Euros I think.

But you know what, Nilmar would actually compliment Cardozo very well.

If Man City pay top dollar for Cardoso, I think we should be able to afford Nilmar.
This is all hearsay though what wins championships is continuity. We either need to throw this base out the window, the coach and all and start fresh from scratch or we have to try and keep as many players as possible, and add a couple players in the spots where we are weak and replace the inevitable (we won't keep them all).

Why would Viera "OFFER" two of Benfica's best players to a team? That doesn't make any sense? Its like we are saying take them off our hands.

Maybe neither of them want to stay and he's touting them to who he thinks will be the highest bidders?

Also don't forget its o record as well.

Yeah but its still somewhat annoying. If Luisao wants to go, I say unload him. Hes been here long and has served Benfica well. He has stayed even when representing Brasil.

Carodozo on the other hand, I only want to let him go when hes like 25 or something. And if Nilmar is a reality, sign him up.

Im saying!!!! That makes no sense. Cardozo has scored 15 goals this season and hes only been utilized for half the season!!! If he started every game, he'd be the top goal scorer in Portugal 2 years in a row!

As for Luisao, I would want him to stay, but if he leaves, I wont be to upset because of the 3 great CBs we have.

As far as Nilmar goes, I would never sell Cardozo in order to uptain Nilmar. Yes I would like the guy to come to Benfica but not a tthe expense of Cardozo. Like Joelzinho said, they would compliment each other very well. Cardozo got the finishing ability and power, while Nilmar got the speed and technique.

Benfica can get the money for Nilmar by selling Di Maria, Luisao and Katso. No need to sell Cardozo. Especially the way hes been playing lately, you must be crazy. Hes the only one scoring goals!

Benfica need to go shopping in GERMANY!!! Specifically at Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim! Great talent on both teams. Id love to see Grafite on Benfica alongside Cardozo. Josue would be fabulous as well in the midfield. Ibisevic is a great striker. Dzeko too.

Ibisevic is very very very talented. His skill with the ball is out of this world. I would compare it with Nani's, Ibra's, etc... I would love if we were able to get him here.

I think he was their leading scorer this season. It would be very hard to get the Bosian in away from Hoffenheim though.

It would be tough to get any of those guys from Wolfi, considering they're gonna be playing CL soccer next year.

As for Hoffy, yea they're a small team but with large pockets (or big financial backing). Ibisevi did very well when he was playing, but tore his ligaments and has been sidelined since December.

Exactly what I was thinking. They could win the league.

Damn. Where they ligaments in his knee? It they were, I hope him the best recovery, but speaking from personal experience, I do not want him to come to Benfica if that is the case.

Di Maria swap for Quaresma and yes we could afford him because he'd more than likely take a pay cut and why we want him? We need a RW

Quaresma at Benfica? Whats going on here? He will have played for all the Big 3 teams. Why, if Quaresma comes back to Portugal he will never be recognize as a top player, and his chances for the National Team will be pretty buried, unless he becomes god.

I am not sure how I feel about this news.
