Maybe we truly need one. I'll admit I don't know. What I do know is that we're all adults, there's probably nobody here under age 15 and probably very few people under age 25.

On a website where we have yellow/red cards, infraction points, forum/site bans and who knows what else, shouldn't we be able to talk like adults as long as we're not using swear words to attack another user? This is obviously where the above corrective system would come into play.

OTOH, it's absolutely hysterical that shit isn't censored, but a certain four letters of Scunthorpe United FC is.

******** off! Oh, that was censored. ;):ninja:

Yeah, we have one and it covers far more than profanity. There are quite a few racists term on there as well, and I think in multiple languages. Not sure how extensive it is.

    The racist stuff makes sense.

But can we at least remove the f-bomb?

Not my call, but I would vote against it.

You know more than I do about such things. :)

Too bad we can't have individual censors for each forum, but that would be a hell of a slippery slope and I wouldn't want to touch that with a 10' pole. In one of the MLS team forums, perhaps the f-bomb could go uncensored whereas in an international or rivalries forum, there'd be tougher standards.

On one hand, that would not be practical. On the other, a lot of posters jump fora so it would bring a lot of confusion, particularly if a poster was not posting in a regular forum.
