Unfortunatelly Bale's agent pretty much confirmed that Bale will sit out his contract on some podcast. "Great life, great wages, no idea if anybody would make an offer he would listen to" was the gist. I've said it time and time again, but i think we're stuck with Bale now, and we're going to tolerate him next season and pay him out after it to just leave. James can't wait to leave, i think Modric will cooperate and find a common solution.
Worst part is it looked like we had an exit solution for both Bale and James last summer, and for whatever reason we backed out. Zidane was proven absolutely right in not needing either. That would have made this summer a lot easier and would have set us up well to take advantage of market dip this summer. Oh well.
I can see why the Chelsea project is appealing to Havertz. Plus I don’t see any of the top clubs having room/affording him this summer. The timing isn’t right.
If they don't make the CL, then I see no reason why he would join. He can hold off for a year to go to a bigger club.
This has been rumoured all week after Wigan were put into administration. A warning shot to all lower league clubs being bought by people with no interest in your club A thread: How Wigan Athletic have been victim to one of the greatest sporting scandals of all time.— mark 🇸🇱 (@marksparko) July 3, 2020 TL;DR - some guy is believed to have bought Wigan last week, placed a huge bet in the Philippines on them being relegated and then put them into administration so they get docked 12 points and drop into the relegation zone
Ter Stegen's rear foot was off the line. Where was Reina's foot in this case? EDIT - ok, it was a matter of encroachment. Which is its own problem altogether but fair enough.
I don’t know about that, always feels like he finds a way to justify what the opposition is doing and to mostly see faults in our play, including fouls, him and his co presenter are always on about the “dark arts” of Sergio, and how amazing it is that Casemiro isn’t sent off blah blah blah, I’m not a fan
Kubo is an absolute baller. If he’s development continues in a good trajectory then this kid will turn into a really special player.
I'd take noob Kubo instead of has-been Isco and past-his-prime Modric next year. How do we look regarding non-EU citizens (or whatever it is called, I totally forgot haha)? Any vacancies?
Vini may or may not have his Spanish passport by the time next season rolls around. Militao and Rodrygo won't be eligible yet, to my knowledge. Reinier won';t be playing for the senior side next year so he's a non-factor. Bale might well lose his EU status soon due to...you know...but if he leaves over the summer, then that becomes a non-factor. That's the extent of my knowledge. Other than those I named already, all the other South American players in the squad have their EU status squared away by now.
