Ashburton Grove hosts a 7:45pm GMT/2:45pm EST/9:45am HST kickoff, while Peacock will provide the moving pictures in the States. Wolves will be well up for this after we committed the unforgivable sin of celebrating a win after a football match a couple weeks ago at Molineux. I don’t anticipate a lot of fun; this Wolves team’s games are incredible slogs. Still, they don’t offer a ton of attacking threat, so I fancy us to win by the odd goal. Let’s do this. Up the Arsenal.
3 points = 6 points up on Tottenham, 5 points above Wolves with a game in hand, 3 points above West Ham with two games in hand, and 1 point behind United with two games in hand. It’s not a must win, but it’s an important game in the quest for European football.
Wolves are rough lately. No one is talking about their form lately in particular away. Spurs lost and united is inconsistent. WHU are dropping points. That said, I'd take a draw all things considered. Happy to be shocked with all three points.
Wolves are typically losing by a goal lately, and in their wins are scoring 2 goals on average. This match is going to be tight. Would love a 1 or 2 goal win and really put the pressure onto Spurs and Wolves.
Yup and the next step is upon us. p.s. Team News: no changes on the fitness front which is great. So Mikel probably has just has 2 key decisions: ESR-vs-Martinelli, Cedric-vs-Tommy. I have a hunch he'll stick w/ the same XI, however that last match was only 5 days ago so that could play into it. Edit: Just saw the training video from yesterday and Tommy's the only one not in it, so that may support my hunch.
I should add that this is a very very sad day for Europe, and the world. Assuming our match happens as planned, for a few hours all of our attentions will be taken by this team and this sport which we invest so much emotional energy in, while at the same time the population of Ukraine is now living a brutal, traumatic existence of death, destruction and deprivation... all thanks to one macho a$$hole. I'm sorry if I've violated one of the forum rules of "no political posts" but I feel like sometimes we need to recognize what's going on outside of our little cocoon of the beautiful game.
A while back, I scheduled a meeting for today 15 minutes after kickoff. So I'm very annoyed with me-from-three-weeks-ago.
Wow what a start. With a penalty shout in the first 20 seconds. I wonder if that'd been a bit later in the game if it'd more likely to have been called. Oh well, keep up that offensive pressure and urgency boys!!!
Oh my, Gabriel WTF. I had a hunch we were going to have to score multiple goals today and now that's for sure. Good thing we have gobs of white hot goal-scoring forwards.
