    When: Monday, December 17th
    Where: Madejski Stadium
Time: 8:00 PM local ( 3:00 PM Eastern)
TV: ESPN2 in the United States

Hopefully this team can get it together. We gave up 4 goals in 1 half to this team in the Carling Cup.
    Need a bigtime gutcheck.

Its funny. The pessimistic fan begins the next match day thread which could be the beginning of a better season for us.

well, any sensible optimist should now be hiding their heads in shame at how gullible they've been, so it's only us truthsayers left.

I am still out of hiding though. But ya, I would not call myself 100% optimistic yet. When your one of those fans who, when they come home, automatically looks at the Arsenal Media part of arsenal.com looking for transfer rumors then you know you are not totally optimistic.

I am optimistic that we can come back from 8th place and maybe make 3rd or 4th but obviously that can only happen when we buy some players.

I hope the rumors of Kevin Strootmen and KJH or Ba or correct.

And it all started in late February 2003 after Arsenal came off the back of 2 draws against Liverpool and Newcastle and an injury time winner against Fulham... Arsenal vs. Manchester City... FT: Arsenal 5-1 Manchester City.

I saw 0-0. We focus so much on defense and not losing that we virtually play in their half and bunker down.

Too many people seem to think the current group of Arsenal players have no heart/no fire/etc.

I think it's less that and more that they just aren't particularly good. At least together.

They didn't get better from last season and they let their goal scorer leave. Why is this a surprise? All of the 'heart' in the world isn't going to score goals.

if I were managing Arsenal, we would see
    Cazorla--Theo--Ox
    -JW-------Rosicky---
    --------Coq-----
    Gibbo--Verm--Per--Jenkinson

only Verm because Kos is out

I dont think Coq is ready to start in the Premier League yet. I would play Arteta ahead of him and also I would play Santi ahead of Risicky. I look at Tomas and I see bench player. Czech Perry Groves.
