holy shit. nice strike, but that shouldn't have happened. naively gave the ball away 3 times in like 30 seconds

    FT POR 1-0 ARS

An impotent 2T just like 1T.

They held us to zero SOG... when was the last time that happened?

We had 10 corner kicks and plenty of FK's... shoulda made one of them count.

No real pluses to take from this game, except no injuries.

Lads just stopped playing the last minute or two. They don't know you can't just do that in these games.
Could have been worse, so I'm feeling ok.

Well, in 2010, Arsenal lost in the Round of 16 in Porto 2-1 and then won 5-0 at home (Bendtner hat rick) in the return leg, so just do that.

Day like today really highlights how bad Martinelli has been for most of the season. If the opponent funnels all the possession to him and Kiwior we are donezo

Just rewatched the end. In the sequence leading to their goal, at least 3 of our players failed to really get rid of the ball or keep possession.

If we were going to lose a game this week to re-focus the team and teach full time discipline, then this was the game to lose.

The bad thing is we lost, the good thing is that the fix(at least from where I sit) is available. We didn't have enough in the midfield. Next game we need Jorginho next to Rice. I think that fixes the lack of playmaking in the midfield. Other then that, the less said the better.

That was quite horrible---our play and to watch. Need to get an early goal at the Emirates or Porto will make this match really ugly---ball won't be in play more than a few minutes (I'm exaggerating, sort of, maybe, not really).

That was such a poor end to the match. No composure from Raya, Rice and Martinelli.

Martinelli and Saka made a lot of bad decisions today and the Trossardsance came to a halt.

We will win the next tie by a few goals, but this was an inexperienced performance today. Porto have a classic European team vs Premier League performance. Jorginho 100% should have started today.

Iove Raya but boy he was miles out for the goal, it wasn’t about diving early like Micah Richards said on the post show

Meh, that’s what he does and it’s a super power when done correctly.

The major issue was the calamity and lack of composure before that.

Raya has cost us goals being far off the line, but it also has lead to early takes which launch into counters. One of those things.

As said earlier, if we were going to drop a game to allow us to refocus its this. Porto lost their last away CL game against Barca 2-1, but I think we will roll them at home 3-0.
This reminds me of the CL game against Lens. We went away to a big European club, and they caught us out, but on the return leg we overwhelmed Lens 6-0.
I don't think we batter Porto that badly, but I think now we have had a good look at them and they threw their best at us to pinch a 1-0 win at home.

Rice backed out of the shot which gave him space
Raya is a midget which doesn’t help as well
