Yep the Emirates Cup is back with Lyon, Celtic, and AC Milan visiting the N5. First up is AC Milan. Kick off is on Saturday July 31st at 1620BST/11am EST/10 Central. The match will be on Sky Sports 3 in the UK. If it is not on the tv states side, I recommend http://www.firstrow.net/. The first match will be a mixture of young guns, fringe players, and a few of the regular first XI. Who will be the new Jack Wilshere to make a statement? If anyone is going to be at the match and wants to meet up, a few Arsenal Scotland members will be starting the drinking sessions at the supporters club(turn left when walking out of the Arsenal tube stop). KILL!!!
seconded. i hope wenger might loan him out for the 2nd half of the season. would love to see him get consistent 1st team action for a bit to see how he handles it.
Think they both.have had good pre seasons but with experience I'd send JET to blackpool, and frimpong to the championship for regular 1st team action. JET played well for blackpool in his first half loan last year, and holloway was impressed by his skill.

Anybody else REALLY excited about this? I am. I want to see JFW pulling the strings; that, and a good breakfast, will make a helluva start to my Saturday.
The matches are on GolTV here in the States, if someone wants to pop that in the original post. Though we should always be wary of messing with the integrity of the KILL!!! I'm definitely excited for this weekend!
I just realized about 2 weeks ago that I had Goltv so I was excited when I saw it was going to be on that, but of course I get to work on Saturday now...good thing I have a dvr.
I want to see Wilshere, Noordviedt, Frimpong, and JET all start this match. We need to find out what we have with these players...especially the latter 3. If we continue to persist with the same players from last season without promoting youths with regular first team football...we aint gonna win shit. We might challenge, but the story will be the same. Now atleast with new players, we can perhaps try new things...heck, things might just turn around for us. Hope to see Scherzny or Mannone in goal instead of Fabianski. The Wilshere-Frimpong-Nasri combo works. Song is not needed for AC Milan as we already know what type of player he is and what to expect. We don't know how Frimpong will play vs. AC Milan so it is worth starting him like the previous matches. The same with Noordvieidt and perhaps Jay Emmanuel Thomas too. These youngsters are ready...much more polished compared to previous batches. I think Lansbury won't see action vs. AC Milan...but he might be the star vs. Celtic. That will be his match to get on Wenger's radar.
It doesn't seem so. Looking at the match reports from last year, Arsenal made significant substitutions on both matches.
T-minus 50 minutes before I make the trek down. I will have my camera with me so hopefully I can get some decent pics taken.
Hell yes! Finally some real football. After the last week of MLS embarassing itself, I can't wait for this weekend!
