Gyokeres should've scored on that earlier Rice cross.

Now Saka clawed in the face. When did PGMOL decide that’s not a foul?

Gyokeres FINALLY gets a free kick for getting constantly scragged in contests.

65' PK awarded. Timber draws it. Continuation into the box. Should stand. :D

I think it was outside the box but I'll take it. Would rather Gyokeres take it

The weight on Zubimendi’s passes is consistently perfect.

Saka is more confident in his PKs. Not as much stutter stepping which to me indicates a lack of confidence

One thing they did was clarify the rules on this before the season, which was if theres still contact being made into the box its a pen.

And because the WHU defender was still on Timber when he went into the box its a pen. If Diouf stopped touching him before the pen box then its a foul outside the box.

Zubi showing why he was bought. Another sublime pass that most midfielders wouldn't try.

Stating the obvious, but we are totally battering them.

Now Rice seems to have twinged his back…

He has been since that 2020 Euro final when he missed that penalty. Since then the technique has changed, shot placement has changed, power has changed, and now he only misses because he is putting it slightly too wide.

He was still doing the stutter steps the last 2 seasons though and he wasn't missing them. Maybe him doing smaller hops now is just the next refinement in his penalty approach.

Might be time to bring on Norgaard for Rice.

Since Arteta monitors our threads during matches, it’d be good to make some subs soon.
