Its why I think you will see us go very hard for Rice, if you look at their stats they both play incredibly similar roles. I think ideally Rice comes in and you can rotate Rice and Partey, but also it factors in the fact that despite Partey being fairly durable this season previously he is unreliable. If we go into the season next year with Partey/Rice/Jorginho, thats serious depth.
I mean as a Partey replacement. Someone young who can grow into the position like a Caicedo or Zubimendi. I think Rice can certainly play the 6, but I don't want to be why we buy him if we do. I want him as the Xhaka upgrade.
