Sort of annoyed that Vermaelens' 'couple of days' injury has turned into a month out.

    I'd go with

    Fabianski

    Sagna--Squill--Kos--Gibbs

    ---Song---Denilson---

    -------Fabregas

    -Wilshere--------Arshavin

    --------Chamakh

If Fabs can't start, Play Nasri, bring Fabregas on at 60 minutes

    I would go with
    Fabianski
    Sagna-Squillaci-Kos-Gibbs
    Wilshere-Cesc-Song
    Nasri - Chamakh - Arshavin

A gotta baaaaaad feeling about Kos & Squillaci going up against Drogba & Anelka.

Would be over the moon with a draw.

    How's that for optimism?

I'd take a draw as good news. But most likely, 3-1 loss I feel

    Couple of things...

    1.) Wilshere must start
    2.) Drogba will score
3.) Cesc comes on around 60min
4.) We nip a draw at the end

    2-2

Was just about to post the exact same prediction.

If we had Cesc, TV5 and RvP, maybe we'd have a chance. :(

I'm hoping we are competitive in this one. Recent history has taught me to not get my hopes up.

2-1 to the Arsenal sparked my a Fabianski blinder.

    Rosicky 1 - 0 Cum Guzzlers

The most 4-5-1 looking team we have put out in a long time.

with weaker Arsenal squads we've done excellent against better Chelsea and Man Utd sides in the past. Last year was a one off in these matches.

    2-1 to the Arsenal.

The way he's going right now I'm not sure if Rosicky will ever score again.

haha... He hasn't had his shooting boots on but that is a ridiculous statement. Are we even 10 games into the season yet?

Nasri and Arshavin playing is a must. The defense speaks for itself except I would like Gibbs starting over Clichy. Hopefully Chamakh would have enough rest for this one. The question is who to start in midfield and who to put on the other wing (whether Nasri plays the Fabregas role or on the wing). Personally I would like to see Nasri play on the wing with Wilshere playing the Fabregas rolle with Rosicky on the bench.

    Dear Chelsea,

Will Drogba or Essien be playing? If so, I regret to inform you that we will be unable to attend the match this Sunday because we are sick, all of us.

Please enjoy your weekend off and the 3 points from our forfeit. Good luck with your future endeavors and we hope to be in better health next time we are scheduled to meet.

p.s. Did you see the Amazing Race last weekend?

As crazy as it sounds, I think Wilshere in the lineup is a must for this match, especially if Cesc plays. He's become oddly our most important deeper lying midfielder, even if he isn't supposed to play there. His vision and calmness on the ball are vital against a team who's going to try to impose their will on us.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this fixture, especially if Zhirkov plays in place of Lampard as he has the last few weeks.

Over the last few years, this fixture has come down to one thing - can we stop Drogba? If we can, we'll be alright. If we can't, we're in for a long night.

LOL!!! Arseblogger said a few days ago that Rosicky has forgotten how to kick a ball. I tend to agree.

I had a real bad feeling about this game. Lampard is out, which means we have to face the twin-headed beast known as Essimikel. This beast blocks the sun, soaks up all oxygen and makes grown men wet their pants.

Then I had this wonderful dream last night in which this young luminous man like a prophet descended upon us and said "have no fear". I could not see his face at first and then when I could finally see him, it turned out to be Fabianski. I woke up in a cold sweat.

Keeping my fingers crossed...come on lads. Prove us wrong.

    Have you watched him play?

Rosicky is best as an AM, but should not play up top in a 4-3-3.

Nope, but since we basically are playing a 4-2-3-1 when Walcott isn't in the lineup, he's very effective out wide in creating attacks and keeping possession.

Wenger says we're playing a 4-3-3, the players say we're playing a 4-3-3, yet somehow, some people keep trying to say we're playing something different. I'd say we only remotely look as if we're playing a 4-2-3-1 system when Denilson is in the line-up, and that hasn't been often. We rarely have one midfielder holding, let alone two.
