Starring Lyon and a few Frauenbundesliga clubs, with minor roles for the odd Scandi-wegian entrant, Arsenal Ladies plus a host of bit-part teams and alphaspaghetti-spillage-generated clubs from across the vast stretches of a crumbling Europe. 54 clubs from 46 nations. Who knew?! I can't wait for that first draw. http://www.uefa.com/womenschampionsleague/news/newsid=1825908.html And, there's nothing I love more than a FULL ENTRY LIST with COEFFICIENTS! For me, it really embraces the romance and simplicity of the beautiful game.
An easy location for the London based forum members, can't beat last year, final was a mere 30 minutes from home for me. Unless they do it at QPR which would make it a mere 15 minutes bus ride home. Some new entrants this year like Wolfsburg, Barcelona, Birmingham going through directly to the round of 32.
The Olympics this year in the UK, the CL final in the UK, the Euros next year in Sweden... When am I supposed to see the world?! Mind you, there's always the CL Hopeless Case Match-up on the Faroe Isles...
EVERYTHING IS IN LONDON. Even things that are elsewhere in the UK are in LONDON. If it's not in LONDON, it isn't happening.
When do you start taking bookings? I saw a programme about Robyn, where she showed off her nice, clean, but far from blingy flat and I now imagine that's where you live. So there's plenty of room for quite a few of us. Seeing as the tent thing didn't happen.
Right, just checked Torshavn. The only 4stars in town are fully booked for those dates as of 22 hours ago. Team hotels, perchance? Nope, I don't live with Robyn, though my flat is certainly unblingy. Small, though, for the massed hordes of BS Rivalry. I could offer you space on the floor of our building laundry, but you'd have to get home by 11 and out by 7. Takes the edge off "holiday" somehow. I had to unsuscribe to the Olympics mailing list: got ********ed off by incessant travel advisories for LONDON even though I've only booked tickets for Glasgow. Morons.
No final in an exotic place, but the what-do-you-call-the-pre-quarterfinal-stage is conveniently scheduled for All Saints, so that might offer some compensation.
I am very pleased to see that the tossed letter salad continues, and even includes non-alphanumerics (SU 1 ° Dezembro) although there's still a soupçon of non-ASCII wariness (to my eye it looks like Stjarnan is missing an ä... though it is not, really). But perhaps my favorite right now is the simply-named 'Ekonomist'. In a 'crumbling Europe', what name could be more frightening?
According to womensoccer.de, all matches of the Group 2 qualifying tournament will be streamed live here: http://www.zfk-spartak.rs/ Dates and kick-off times see on the UEFA website: http://www.uefa.com/womenschampions...ndings/round=2000368/group=2002120/index.html
Peamount now have a French former youth player playing for them, Solene Barbance. I never saw an announcement for this but she has played in their first 2 CL games. We're getting very cosmopolitan altogether! She was at PSG. http://www.footofeminin.fr/notes/D1-Solene-BARBANCE-a-signe-a-Peamount-United-Irlande_b4609887.html
Former U19 champions in 2010 alongside Gadea, Makanza, Catala or Phillipe who were all in the 22 at the Olympics. Very surprising as no one knew about that transfer as well in France.
My commiserations to Vantaa. Poor bastards. Oooh, and it could be Arsenal-Potsdam in the round of 16!

And anyone else that now how to pronuce them (Finns and Germans) is more used to our way to write them. This it is totally unrealted to any swedish imperial ambitions in Scandinavia
Be grateful that I forgot to post the link to the webcast earlier. Zurich-Juvisy 0-0 at half time. What a boring match so far. To be honest, if the last few matches you've seen have been of German teams, you do understand why the Swiss have the reputation of being just a little bit slow. If you insist, watch the second half here, starting in about 10 minutes: http://www.schweizersportfernsehen.ch/ssf/start.asp?
Today at 4pm CEST, Cluj-Neulengbach live on Romanian TV and on the web, see the top item under: http://www.neulengbach.at/
If you have the Eurosport Player... or find a stream of it. Müller's goal was a nice, cheeky one. EDIT: In other news, Odebrecht has a new hairdo.
"Copper"? You're far too generous. Anyway, streams and broadcasts for today, anyone? We'll be able to watch Lyon pulverise Vantaa on Eurosport, which will (almost) segue into Fortuna Hjörring v. Glasgow City on Teuchter TV (a.k.a. BBC Alba) at 20.15 CET. The latter can be found on the BBC iPlayer, though geoblocked. If anyone finds the Potsdam match, you know where to post it! [Here, for the slow kids.]
