I'll be happy to see Brenden in the EPL or happy to see him elsewhere. If he's moving anywhere for the reported near $30 million. He's going to be given a lot of leash. Hopefully he can make the jump from the Austrian Bundesliga to the EPL/Top 5 league. I really enjoy his game.
Salzburger Nachrichten confirms Brenden Aaronson's move to Leeds is done, subject to a medical.Fees, wages and contract all agreed.Leeds will pay €28m (£24m), becoming fourth biggest sale in Salzburg history.USA star will sign an initial three-year deal at Elland Road. pic.twitter.com/tXm3tWBLLe— James Marshment (@marshyleeds) May 24, 2022 4th highest sale in Salzburgs history is impressive, even with the constant transfer fee inflation happening Only a three year deal is also very interesting, usually it's more. Could be Aaronson hedging his bets against Leeds going down/Marsch getting fired/things not going well Also it's a small thing ... but its good for him to get the deal done even before the transfer window opens. No long drawn out process, able to start integrating basically before pre season even starts.
I believe 20 million was the fee to trigger the release clause in Haaland's contract. And IIRC, Salzburg were only able to get Haaland to join the club by agreeing to include that release clause with a fee much lower than they would have otherwise demanded for him.
MLS clubs need to start following more of Salzburg's example. I guess at least FC Dallas is doing so..
And Dortmund only got Haaland to join there by agreeing for a release clause. Was one of the sticking points with Man U and why negotiations there fell part. He also has a release clause with Man City that kicks in after a couple of seasons (for 150 million).
What example is that? You mean just getting a fee like that or be willing to sell? I think most MLS teams would sell at that price without much hesitation.
The big question is whether Aaronson should continue his BS career as the American Harvertz. As the author (but not the originator) of the current thread title, I would encourage alternative suggestions.
Oh yeah. Until @bungadiri stays true to giving a proper vote and including player at club for consideration (without changing rules when it looks like it may make the knockout round) I'm going to offer up politically charged thread titles in the hopes of making his moderating life more difficult.

Nah, he's a pussycat. And it's all in good fun. That and I'm not sure I can outdo this one, so I'm probabaly done.
