I don’t think the thing about not touching Dani Alves was true, I don’t understand how Alves is able to move his leg back like how he did without being hit. But then again that Barcelona team had practically perfected getting opponents sent off for nothing. And the other guy was Casquero, for Getafe. Pepe’s reputation amongst neutrals (if there’s such a thing with Real Madrid) never recovered from that day. The guy is one of the best defenders of his generation hands down but is always overlooked.
I’m sure the Casquero one was a direct red. Can’t remember the Alves one but if it was against Barca I wouldn’t be surprised is it was a straight red (I believe they call unjustified reds blaugrana cards in Spanish, Van Persie once got a second yellow for shooting on goal against Barca). Pepe as a life defender was probably better than Ramos, but his constant falling down was annoying as was his attitude when he didn’t get his preferred deal at the end of his time here. The was he got screwed by the Turkish team he left us for was hilarious.
Oh maybe the stats website I was looking at was counting only La Liga cards. The time he was kicking out was a second yellow lol, then an added 10 game suspension after the trail of destruction he left while leaving the field.
Alves was a direct red yea, but im not even sure, i've reviewed the video, some angles looks like he wasnt even close to touching Alves, others looks like theres a slight contact. Alves milked it either way.
He was definitely milking it, that was nothing new. After the incident he was rolling and screaming in pain then 30 seconds later was sprinting down the flank, no problem. The way Barca were able to get away with shit like this and turn it into an advantage, imo had an effect on Pepe and some of our other players at the time. Going down easily and throwing a few rolls became a thing for some of our guys as well.
Ramos has an entire gym at his house as far as I remember, the whole equipment set. Benzema had people install a similar setup in his house and his fitness visibly improved. I think people generally start taking their body more serious when they invest money in it.
I think it's the best investment anyone can make. Ive spent stupid money on many things. The gym was by far the best ROI
I can't agree here and my fitness level and ability was my means of generating income for some years. Even after retiring I still workout hard and have a better physique than Ramos. Best ROI is always the mind, because it doesn't matter how great you look or feel; if you can't think. Information as well is key to success.
I mean you can still go to the gym but overall, having equipment at home just makes it so much more plausible to not have anything affect your routine. Now for example...hurricane season. There are days that i would get off work and had an evening meeting or magic game and only had a small time segment available, i was able to get in my workout. No way i could have made the trip to the gym. Same thing for the morning. I get up at 5 am and get straight to it. Going to the gym before work would have meant drive to the gym, drive back or deal with the hassle of taking my clothes and supplements to the gym. Now i just wake up, drink water, and get right on it. Also have sportscenter or classic games playing in the t.v Even if you love going to the gym because of more equipment, having a good home gym will be a great ROI. Obviously mindset and commitment is the main thing, but that's internal. As far as money I've spent (car, pool, home theater, expensive bed, magic tickets), the home gym has by far given me the greatest roi
Oh I agree about having workout equipment at home. I have a small gym in mine. My point was the mental aspect is more important. For instance many people hav equipment but don't use it. Many people use it but are determined. Just because you workout doesn't mean you get to look like me or even you. Hence why I highlighted ROI is more important when it comes to the mental.
Because we are short of players and he isn't exactly helping. If he at least tried to run his socks off then we would be some use to us.
Hope the tests come back as OK. Rest him v Mallorca - Militao and Varane should both have that covered.
Sergio Ramos is not injured, the impact with La Real's Isak did not cause him an injury and it was just a blow. Ramos is not ruled out for the game against Mallorca. [@Marca] pic.twitter.com/opr6W6ItLj— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) June 22, 2020
