Uh huh. I'm sure Sergio and his brother will definitely consult that with you before signing any deals.

BTW, how do you know for "SURE" that Man_U will make any offer for Sergio? Do you have a crystal ball or something? Or you're only echoing what AS is feeding you?

I think we give Man Utd far too little credit if we think they lack in prestige. To be honest, they've won just about as much as we did last season (see what I did there?). LVG isn't some scrub coach that struggles to hold jobs or achieve team objectives. Still, you hear far more about people trying to go from Manure to RM than the other way around. Once they lost Ferguson, a lot of their allure and status diminished. You get players like Bale, Cesc and Hummels refusing to take them seriously, which ends up making them look kinda pathetic.

On a side note: isn't it hilarious how many Real Madrid players Manure fans want on their team? Varane, Bale, Ronaldo, Ramos. They might as well just be Real Madrid fans and save themselves the heartache every transfer window! Hahaha. It's also funny how the British media claims Ed Woodward can open up his a** and excrete "blank cheques" every summer so the manager can buy himself a whole team.

    Seriously Manure fans...keep dreaming!

I think the media or/and Man Utd are playing games with us! We stole De Gea from them. Man Utd just wants to mess around Ramos' contact negotiation with us. If Ramos leaves, they will take him. If he stays with us, Man Utd probably increases our pay roll by a few million euros. Ramos also sees this an opportunity to increase his bargaining position(I do not blame him). It is a tactic that have been used every summer(usually, the player told his club that Real madrid made him an offer). The media, meanwhile, needed a juicy story in the summer.

@SocialRMadrid: Close friend of Ramos, Manolo Lama, gave us the info today, so it is to be trusted. It seems Ramos only cares about the money. What a shame.

The idea of Ramos in England is too funny to even think about.

I can't even begin to imagine Ramos playing for any other team than Real Madrid, if he does end up getting sold it's going to be a very sad day for every Madridista.

Ramos leaving Madrid for Manchester United next season is just not going to happen... so can we please stop acting like muppets.

I'm sure he'll extend but you can't put anything past Florentino. Those demands for a defender?! I know Florentino will not budge so Ramos needs to reel it in.

I will say this whole thing is very messy for no reason. It should have been kept in house and the media campaign looks too similar to when Ozil left. Ramos can't be happy about that.

And to end it off, none of us know Ramos. Its nice to fantasize about him being a club legend and leader but he could very well be concerned about money first and foremost. Footballers careers are short and he is 29 with 4-5 yrs left at the top level. Maybe he wants to grab as much as he can even if its not with us.

Ramos needs to stop playing the newspapers via his friends in the press. "Monumental anger!" Give me a break. It's time to grow up.

I was the one that bumped this thread with the possibility of Ramos being gone and people thought I was crazy. Fast forward today and, although a rumor, it looks like what I was saying was right. A couple of years ago the price tag for Ramos was 65 million. He is now rumored to be 75 million to Madrid? Flo will sell him if this holds true.

It has always been about money. It was about money 2 years ago and it is money now. Every time I see Ramos and Flo together I cringe. Ramos even gave Flo an autograph shirt too. I thought that was weird as if Flo wanted it.

Anyways, I hope Ramos doesn't go but if teams are offering him that much, it is something to think about. Ramos is going to turn 30 and he needs to think about his future and milk it for what is left. He is no longer a youthful player who plays for the love of the game. He may still love it but money is a motivating factor when you are paid millions to play a kids' game.

    Who is Jordi Majo?

Something is fishy with the whole Ramos's Barcelona connection.

Nothing fishy at all. Any candidate can say anything they want at this point because they're not connected to the club. It would be fishy if he, for example, promised to bring Ramos over because then he'd probably have to show some sort of proof for people to believe him. But him saying, Ramos was offered to us and we said no is just him blowing air out of his ass.

Except no one ever heard of him or can confirm that his name would be up for any votes. He just popped out, dropped the bomb shell then vanishing into thin air. Ramos and his brother have denied any allegation, you would think Real Madrid would want to clear that up to protect its own image, or at least protecting Ramos but they have been rather quiet as well.

Not caving in Ramos' demand is one thing, using dirty tactic to trash the man's reputation is as low as it can get.

It's sad that the club can't accept Sergio's demands. He's been an important squad member for years and it's sad to see Perez kick out another fine player because of money issues.

They don't need to accept his demands; but there needs to be leniency. Saying this is what we're going to give you, take it or leave is disrespectful.

I honestly don't see why we can't give him a raise, it just doesn't make sense to sell him at this point.

Selling Ramos means that we will have a Marcelo/Pepe captaincy if Iker is gone too.

It would mean Marcelo needs to watch out because Cristiano would be eyeing that arm band lol.

You dont give raises simply when someone asks for them. Also he is requesting almost to double his salary. Picture yourself going into your managers office and pulling this.. He will laugh on your face. You have to have had an extraordinary year, back up with evidence and hard facts( stats, etc) for mgmt to even consider almost doubling someone's salary.
In my mind the fact that he is a leader and the captain is intangible and does not add weight on the negotiation table. For that he can get a 2M raise and be done with because on the sporting and performance side he has no leverage.

If I walk into my bosses office with an offer from a competing firm offering me 12[zeros here]€ and offer him to stay at his company for 10[zeros here]€ he might ask himself why some other company thinks I am worth more than double what he pays me now. And if I am good and it is in the budget he might actually go for it. Otherwise I say ******** it and make a shitton of money somewhere else. And I guess nobody in my old company will say a single bad word about it. But that's not how things work in football now, is it?

That's absurd. Why should the club say anything?? In this case, the club has not been referenced at all, so what is there for them to deny?? They also have zero connection to this Jordi person. It should be Sergio and his camp who put that nonsense to bed, which they have already done.

True, but there should be respect from Ramos's camp too. The rumors of United, being mad etc not exactly respecting the club a ton there either.

I'll give his management and him props for killing the Barca links. With regards to the other rumors they've been awfully quiet.

He has tons of leverage on that side, whether you'd like to acknowledge that or not is irrelevant. The number of clubs that would lineup for him would speak for that.

Sad to see Ramos go, he has been a big part of the team's success. I wish RM would get in the habit of offering bigger salaries with shorter time limits to these players in their 30s. If Ramos ends up at Manchester, I hate to think it is because Florentino does not want strong voices in the locker room.
