Should have had replaced Suarez with defensive player. Masche inexperience cost them.

Boca is up 1-0. They have to hope Bayern scores two goals and wins, and that they themselves score at least six more in the second half.

 

A lot of just crossing and hoping to get on the end of it. They almost had a wonder strike go in, need more though.

The funny thing about the entire weather is that subs staying inside of the loclkerooms to watch the team play.

Classic conundrum of a team that can score off the counter and not much else. Makes it hard to beat teams that bunker if you don't actually have any tools for creativity

Nah they had GD advantage on Esperance going in, so even a draw against them is enough. They just can't lose to them. If they want first in the group then they need to keep going to flip the GD on Flamengo and hope they lose to LAFC.

 

Bayern unexpected loss to Benfica means Flamengo ended up facing them. Enzo will play against Otamendi and ADM.

 

Quite impressive how Boca only managed to score 1 (own) goal against a team that had conceded 16 in their previous 2 games.

 

As things stand, River only needs a draw to progress. Is overall GD comes first?

 

Monterrey has scored 3. River needs to win, I believe or a 2-2 draw…

 

So what's the tiebreaker ? if its goal total I think Inter and River so far scored same number of goals... or because Inter scored against Monterry and River didnt?
