It boggles my mind that Meza is a professional footballer… and worst part is I have to suffer him x2 (Argentina and River) But hey, thanks for the 3-1!
How many World Cup players has River fielded in this match?! I guess Enzo Perez and Nacho can only play one half??
unbelievable that gallardo won't put subiabre on the bench but he loves his 36+ players. Gallardo a player himself who played young.
The starting backline was Montiel, Acuña, Chino and Pezzella. 3 out of four played at the World Cup and even started!
for the most part montiel and acuna have played well, except for acuna's foolish penalty and arguing yellow pezella and armani share one brain cell
Armani Enzo Perez Pezzella Montiel Acuña Meza So 6… and then you have Castaño, Martinez Quarta, Mastantuono, and Nacho Fernandez, who have played for the NT but not at a WC
Riber really has a lot of low peanut brain players. Picking up four yellow cards that were completely unnecessary. Acuna, pezella and galoppo
Ocampos won a corner, Ramos scored from it against Inter. ..and El toro scored from a well constructed FK.
Congrats to the Panthers for winning their second Stanley Cup!(Back-Back no less) They had Gretzky doing post-game and the guy was on the verge of tears for his beloved Oilers. A Canadian team cannot even muster up a Stanley Cup winning team. It has been 30+ years. Hell, Vegas, VEGAS! won a Stanley Cup in a few years in existence before Canada..
Oof only 12k went to River/Urawa.. Boca/Benfica had 55k. I guess the fair comparison will be River/inter though.
Comparing two completely different scenarios. River is in Seattle, Boca in Miami. Not only is there an immense Argentine population in Florida (probably like 90% of those in attendance were locals), but it’s waaaay easier for traveling fans from Argentina to go to Miami than it is to Seattle. Hell, both Boca and River would sell out even a friendly match in Miami. The River-Inter game will probably be pretty empty too. But to be fair, there were actually more fans than I was expecting at the stadium yesterday lol
Well hopefully you don't get too outnumbered by the Mexicans. I actually thought the atmosphere in Seattle was decent despite the numbers, both sets of fans were chanting a good amount.
Isn’t there a large Japanese population in Seattle? But the good news is flying to LA from Seattle is pretty cheap. But River’s last game is back in Seattle, at least for the group stage. So, let’s see if they will do the journey to LA and fly back and then fly back to Seattle or just stay put for Inter.
There is but I don't know how many of them are soccer fans, and Urawa fans in particular. Urawa is popular but it's also a team situated outside Tokyo proper, and soccer isn't as popular of a sport in general as compared to baseball.
It's quite interesting seeing how there is little to no passion from the Madrid fans. For being one of the bigger brands in the sport; their fans are dull. Then again, majority of their support does not hail from Spain but even in Madrid, the chants and etc are a bit mundane. Bilbao, Sevilla, Valencia and some of their smaller clubs have a more passionate fanbase. Tha well. The honorary Argentino, Bono with a Dibu like save. You love to see it!
