France have dropped Mbappe. Since his move to Madrid, it’s been a disaster and it seems people within Madrid are reportedly saying the move was a mistake. Granted, he’s too talented and you think he’ll turn it around. But he doesn’t like playing as a 9. I wonder if they’ll just sell him to some EPL team and cut their losses.

But majority of that team are just unlikable.

 

I don't think it had to do with his form but more because he asked to stay out of the French team for the October Break citing an injury. He then played the following match (the France match was AFTER the Madrid match in which he played so it wasn't like his injury cured itself). I don't think Deschamps wants to go along with his nonsense this time and just kept him off.

 

Mbappe existent in recent Euro didnt even matter . He scored that one penalty but gets easily neutralized in every games.

Mbappe style is similar to Henry, he'd thrive better in EPL.

 

Henry knew how to play as a 9. Not only did Henry have great speed, he had elegance and grace in his game. Mbappe does not have that skillset in his game. I always said, once Mbappe lost his speed, he was toast. He hasn't lost his speed just yet but he obviously does not like playing in the center.

But yeah, I think in the right setting in England, he'd be an elite player. I do not always agree with pundits on ESPN FC but a few weeks ago, Steve Nicol said Mbappe will not be remembered as an all-time great. He just might be right.

 

Yea, he always turn in up during the WC much like Klose and that's it. His best achievement outside WC 2018 so far has been just Ligue 1.
