There will be 8 invited guests in next year’s Gold Cup from 4 different confederations… Colombia and Uruguay would be the CONMEBOL reps. I wonder what second rate European team they’ll convince. I guess they’re going for a mock trial before the World Cup.. but it would be funny to see a non-CONCACAF team win their tournament, which is what will probably happen if there’s no funny business
Brazil finished 2nd twice and Colombia once (lost to Canada in the final, a team that only advanced from group stage thanks to winning a coin toss against South Korea, lol)
This gives the Colombians at a shot at winning something! This may give them something to sing about or cheer about other than CO LOM-BIA!
That's just wierd have so many federations from different continents playing for a north american trophy. At least with the Copa America it's mostly consisent.
Pretty sure it's just a one time thing. Since FIFA got rid of the Confederations Cup and the Nations League crap has ruined friendlies, this is the only chance for the host nations to get a real test before the World Cup.
I was laughing at the folks that said we were lucky to dodge Argentina. USAs best U-23 talent are already on the senior team though so this was the scraps. Good on them for making it out of the group at least. But they really need to learn how to grind out results instead of capitulating so rapidly against stronger sides.
I think there is a ceiling for US soccer and I believe they’ve already reached their limits. Without looking, I can bet you that a good portion of the Moroccan players were in fact European born. Now, Europe isn’t the be all and end all but it sure as hell is better than being trained by the MLS or the university systems. Thus, I think that is one of the biggest problems and that is the MLS will continue to drag the international team down. Who are the best players for US? CP and Reyna, who were both more or less disciplined with European clubs. While the MLS is a positive for putting the game out there, it simply does not develop enough top class players. I can see why the US federation in continually looking for players born and raised in Europe who have a parent that is American. But anyways, getting out of the group was a good step forward but I do wonder if they do fall on their faces in 2026 what happens next for US soccer.

Not sure how accurate this is, but Ole is reporting that Pochettino is one of the candidates to coach the England NT lol
We need a good saboteur, or a double agent, like Tata. However, Rumors are saying that it is probably going to be the manager of Newcastle.
Garnacho's bicycle is one of the best bicycle I've seen because he had to tracked back pretty far to hit it.
Garnacho just because it was for Manchester United so it's more likely it was seen in the first place, unfortunately.
Horrific goalkeeping by Spain there in the gold medal game lol Three straight goals for Spain since..
With a competent coach, we would’ve won this tournament. Look how had the French are. Good grief/ and they’re bringing back Masche.
