I don't at all blame Licha for the OG versus Guatemala. Very different from the Austrian one.

Of course! Always to cheer and gloat:cool:, and misteriously dissappear again for years if we lose bad like the 2nd copa final with Chile or WC 2018 (those were rough years:cry:)

And man, did we have some bad years, well decades. I can go back to the Copa final we lost against Brazil when they literally made it 2-2 with the last kick of the game and then we lost on pens. The other 3 final loses in the Copa, the world cup final loss, the absolute cluster f**k that was the 2018 world cup, Pekerhead throwing the game against Germany in 2006. We have had plenty of heartbreak. So you can't blame us for basking in this glorious period.

EURO was expanded in 2016 under Platini before Ceferin became president.

I also prefer the 16-team format (every NT tournament should be based on a format with the number of teams to the power of 2), but fortunately there is sufficient quality to sustain a 24-team EURO.

Romania beating Ukraine - comprehensively too - is an upset.

Slovakia currently ranked 48 by FIFA while Belgium is at 3, so that is definitely an upset.

No, other than WC 2018, Belgium continously getting upset so its not really an upset anymore. At last WC they only won 1 game.

Fifa ranking? Yea a very good barometer , Uruguay & Germany ranked behind USA & Mexico last time I checked..:whistling:

Oh look, a player celebrating in the face of a defeated opponent. I suppose people in Europe are raging about it. There must be pages and pages, millions of tapes calling out such a bad sport move, especially in Madrid.

And couldn't check, but I can only imagine how the self righteous dutchs, germans and portugueses in here that came to educate us two years ago ago, are now furious over this unsavoury behaviour. Right?

    Riiiiight...

Dalic will shake them up. Expect Modric to retire after this tournament. Hope Scaloni takes note. Croatia will revive again. Players like Katinic, Vuskovic and Zvonarek will be staples of their side for years to come.

Horrible team win 2-0. Hungary had their chances against a distinctly ordinary team. Oh well.

Really we should already have more than 3 stars and a few more Copa. Blame Fatso for 2 and a half tragedies. Imagine Bati had been upfront in those games. Redondo in '98.

Between the top 3 South American team, Uruguay has the best record in Copa final.

I still think had we beat Uruguay in 2011 shootout, we'd go all the way despite not having a good team under Batista. That game was pretty much the final for Uruguay. No way we would lose to Peru and Paraguay.

Seeing some European retards thought Euro is bigger than World Cup. Did these retards ever think about the star on their nation's badges???

    Europe = 55 footballing countries
    13 WC titles
    4 Conf cup titles
    1 Finalissima

South American = 10 footballing countries
    10 WC titles
    5 Conf cup titles
    2 Finalissima

Not to mention there used to be two German teams competing at WC back then while Argentina boycotted multiple WC during Stenano's days.
