Gaven to start in MLS all-star game

It just keeps getting better for Gaven, who has been named as a starter to the MLS all-star game -- East.

    Check it out:

Guevara is also listed as a starter, as is Pope. Funny, with three all-star starters, maybe we should be ... better.

Yeah, and they were nice enough in the story to tell us all the players that won the balloting...NOT. I had to go online to find out who got selected.

    Lousy reporting.

The Bruce laid down the law. "Kid, you gotta get a haircut....this ain't the MetroStars". Now looks more like Bobby Convey. :D

What's with all the Chicago lurkers around here? Go start a Beasley thread or something.

Gaven will only get better over time. He's earned the playing time on the Metros and that will enable him to achieve on the national level. He's just a kid from Jersey. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch him for the next 20 years or so. Who's Freddy?

Just watch ManUre poach another top Metro

Sky in the UK happened to show the Metros-DC match last Sunday. Although I was near death from embarassment to show THAT shambles, a couple of my mates on the Stoke City m/b watched and gave me some comments. They thought that Gaven took his goal well and that his evading the defenders and pass for the Metro's second was "class" :)

He better get some time in the Poland match. I've gotten used to seeing him play on a weekly basis and I'll go into withdrawal if I can't see someone other than Geuvara hold of defenders with tricky dribbling.
