A magical process called changing the laws that incentivize it. It’s quite remarkable how the left selectively doesn’t believe in incentives with individual behavior in policy but somehow do understand it in their personal lives with friends and family.
sometimes I forget that there is a lot of mental illness in this world. Then I revisit this thread and am reminded.
BTW regarding the "incentive" In the late 90's and early 2000's many states passed laws capping how much money single mothers could get. So it created a good opportunity for studies to measure if government income had an effect in fertility. It doesn't. https://www.researchgate.net/public...n_Fertility_Behavior_A_Look_at_the_Family_Cap
This other paper is a summary of multiple studies on the topic. https://www.whijournal.com/article/S1049-3867(09)00082-6/fulltext
No. Remember, we’re trying to punish people. So, we should be taking away the children of single parents and give them to a foster 2-parent family. Those families never split up or have their own issues.
Or maybe we should follow Qatar's lead and make sex outside of marriage illegal! That way any single woman who is pregnant, regardless of how it occurs, can be put in jail and have her child taken away from her once it is born. This works very well with making abortion illegal as well, so it's a win-win!
Hey,you're the one ignoring the consequences of not supporting unwed mothers. What is your solution, and what incentives do you believe these whores currently receive?
In your world, unwed mothers are less than mothers who have found a man.At least that's what it looks like . If that's wrong, than what pray tell do you mean? And I'm quite sober ,we had no water this AM and a guy had to come fix the pump.
The problem, as we all know, is that Republicans love identifying problems but have no idea of how to solve them. They run on platforms that Democrats aren't solving every problem (often because Republicans block every effort Democrats make), while at the same time putting forth no realistic strategy to address the problems. Instead, their core argument is if everyone would just convert to Christianity, we would no longer have any problems.
Just want to remind everyone If you want less of something, tax it If you want more of something, subsidize it in this situation, the state has chosen to subsidize single parent families
If only Jesus was still alive and politically active! The irony, of course, is Jesus's mom was single when she had him.
Just another reminder that Republican "pro-life" is only concerned about fetuses. Once they're born, ******** the little bastards
