What is the Title of the Song in that EURO 2000 Commercial with Zidane, Beckham, Del Piero and Patrick Kilvert? The Commercial is called Soccer In Amsterdam. -N1 (Reps For who ever helps me )
I assume you saw the same version as we did in the UK. It's Self Preservation Society if I am not mistaken.
I hope your right *shamelessly tries to download mp3 of Kazaa* Well If anyone’s interested Here’s the commercial. http://download.35mb.com/neodaone/Adidas - Del Piero Beckham Zidane and Kluivert.mpeg -N1
Wrong. If you look at the Title of this thread you will notice that I was talking about EURO 2000. Someone please Help.
It's a remix of "Broadway Jungle," a 1960s (ska?) song from Toots and the Maytals. This is not based on seeing the commercial, but from the liner notes of a CD somewhere in my car.
Thanks!!! *Off Topic* I just noticed that you only have one post, and it says youve been here since October 2002. Is that true or is that some kind of Glitch with the server? -N1
im not totally sure what commercial you are talking about because that link doesnt work for me, but if it is the Road to Lisbon one the song is It's Caper Time by Quincy Jones
You have to Click on the Link. Dont just click Save As. Oh and The guy above already helped me. And for the 2nd Time I WAS TALKING ABOUT EURO 2000 not 2004. -N1
Yeah I know, but theres now a Duracell Commercial with the same song and I cant get it out of my head. Thanks for the help everyone
Following up... I changed my profile Wednesday and suddenly I lost my history. Thanks for the point, by the way. I'm a bit rusty on the boards (I haven't posted in six months or so). But here's a quote from the Trojan Records site: "This was reflected in the recent decision by sports giant, Adidas to use a new version of his 1964 Ska classic, 'Broadway Jungle' for their TV ad campaign during the Euro 2000 soccer championships. Although some 36 years had elapsed since Toots had cut the original, the new version illustrated his delivery had lost none of the power and zeal that made the song such a firm favourite first time around - so it was certainly no surprise when it became a hit in the UK and across Europe." http://www.trojanrecords.net/articles/toots/biog.htm
