Don't be stupid. We know this is the situation. It's not some controversial statement when its 100% true. I say this as a fan of the product.
So without RSNs is there even a single rational reason to keep cable? (With cable replacement streaming options there already wasn't, but I don't even know if it makes sense to keep those)
Tbf, it is true for the majority of matches. It's surprising just how unprepared most of the broadcast teams are.

LOL it was an outdoor game that the NHL hyped for a couple of weeks. I have a suggestion: do some research before proffering an opinion. You'll make fewer mistakes.
No mistakes made. One was an outdoor game. The other? Rangers - Penguins 1.4 million. EDIT - NOBODY does more research than me. I'm pretty much an expert on everything.

A Double Paywall??? This is one of the most insane things I’ve ever read as a sports fan. https://t.co/zXs6C1hhWc pic.twitter.com/dC59mBgs3r— patrick (@muldowney) February 8, 2026
Note the ad revenue part. The Olympics coverage on Peacock feels like it's about 50/50 content/ads, and most of the content isn't action. Pretty painful.
Untrue. I watched all four runs of luge, the women’s downhill and some curling. Nowhere’s near 50% ads. It’s practically all action. Thx, Jay!
Basically their usual coverage if not better. Just no more world feed options which had no commercials - and that sucks.
I watched over 45 minutes of ice skating before the super bowl and the only skating I saw was a replay of something that happened earlier in the day.
Ice skating is horrible if you want action and not fluff. Most of the other sports (we've watched luge, biathlon, cross-country, etc.) have been great except that the commercials are unskippble, unlike my YouTubeTV recordings of the actual broadcast coverage.
If you watch the actual ice skating broadcast from USA, not the highlights package from NBC you still see everyone's performance. NBC coverage is more like a movie version of what happened that day.
