we are 2-1 down and Flick brings Gerard ********ing Martin , then some blame Dro for not sticking around ... it's clear who are his favorites and who aren't and it appears Cacelo will be added to the list and we will suffer even more ... oh well LPB are struggling too so let's hope they will be worse than us.
Anoeta curse returns. I'd like to think Raphinha makes a difference and we would have won this match with him, but we created more than enough chances to win this game. Just one of those nights where the ball didn't go in.
btw Yamal have been utter garbage lately , will Flick have the balls to bench him or just keep him messing around
Yep. That's what I was thinking. Shitty 7 days for them but at the end of it they are 3 points closer.
He hasn't been great. But he still ends up creating some good chances throughout the game. And we really don't have any good subs to take his place. I know it has been mentioned that he is carrying an injury ... but last season I saw an analysis pointing out that him growing a couple more inches could influence his ability to dribble. We might be seeing some of that. Or he got a bit too confident and relaxed ... I'd like to think with Flick he is not slacking during training.
you already forgot what Roony did the last time he started ? you really think he isn't "good enough " seriously ? you would rather Yamal starts while injured than give Roony a chance ?
If Lamine is truly injured, he should definitely rest. Otherwise, I'd rather him play and get back in to form he was late last season. We ain't winning a CL without him.
Eh, LPB play a shyte game, where they were booed and then rescued by a moron defender that gave away a PK, and they win. Barça play adequately, have 23 shots/9 on target, but lose. It sucks, but as they say, in football, the ball is round.
Forgot to add: 4 disallowed goals, an overruled PK, and hit the woodwork, what, 5 or 6 times? No blaming the refs, and I dont think Barça played poorly, but it was just not to be today. I for one am not worried, but it does happen in the game.
This decision was such garbage. The purpose of the offside rule is to prevent an attacker from gaining advantage. And here's Lamine moving away from goal to receive a ball. It defies common sense and the intent of the rule to call this offside. That he was offside by an edge of a single cleat is just ridiculous.
Honestly this game solidified that Barca will win La Liga for me If it takes this amount of luck and shit refs for Barca to lose.
While I get that, I also think that b!tching about the refs is beneath Barça and Culers. Crying like putas is for LPB, their entitled players, their privileged fans, their whiny president, and their crying tv network. Were it the other team, Culers would want that call. Be confident in this side, because Barca dominated, and the scoreline flattered La Real. LPB played like horsesh!t, were getting booed at home, and were lucky that a defender decided to lose the game for Levante. I'll take being dominant over getting lucky 11 times out of 10.
Sure, take the high road and all that. But seeing that ref Jesus Gil Manzano... he has a long track record of bad decisions against us. It was Gil Manzano who was reffing this one too:
Yeah, about that PK given... it was a rash tackle attempt, but plenty of videos show Mbappe dragging his foot and starting to dive before any contact. It could've easily been a yellow for Mbappe, but you know, that's how it goes in La Liga. And for the record, I'm of the opinion that if a defender sticks out a leg, an attacker has every right to trip over it in his stride and draw a foul. But not to dive in anticipation. That is a hard call to make in real time, but that's what VAR ostensibly is there for.
