It was still 1 x 0. Lamine's goal came afterwards.

I guess the downside of events this week is that Barca will have a busier 2nd half of the season than LPB. Upto 6 more matches if we both reach the same stage in CL.

But at least we avoid playing them in CdR. It's fun to beat them, but el clasicos seem to take alot out of the players (probably contributed to CL exit last season).

I think that in a "normal year," that might be a disadvantage for Barça.

But in a year after the stupid CWC, where LPB didn't have much of a break, didn't have much of a preseason, and are on their 3rd coach in 12 months, I think fixture congestion may be a bit less of an issue for Barça.

Plus LPB look pretty dismal atm. I only saw the highlights of the Albacete match, but I see both of Madrid's goals came from corners - and in one the GK could have done much better. So, no effective attack it would appear, and yet concede 3 goals. :ROFLMAO: The first Albacete goal was a sweet header, but the other 2 were exhibits on how not to defend.

    Even better:

Supposedly Albacete rotated their 1st XI vs LPB.
So LPB crapped their pants against the bench of an almost-relegated segunda side!!

So, while I do think that fixture congestion/potential for fatigue can pop up, LPB have their own portfolio of problems to deal with as well. Flick will have to remain disciplined to rest and rotate players, and the roster will have to continue to stay focused.

For me, the best part about LPB's season is that those imbeciles decided to keep the same diva-laden mismatched pile of crap roster, then decided to DOWNGRADE from Ancelotti to Alonso to some youth coach. (Derrr, what could go wrong?)

I saw yesterday Raphinha didn't train because of a knock on the thigh he received in the previous game. Confirmed that he is out of today's match as a precaution.

Potential banana peel away at Anoeta. It looks like they've been improving their form with their new manager. Last season Barca loss 1 x 0 and it was the start of the 8 match winter slump.

Flick goes with Fermin on the left in Raphinha's absence.

Haven't played a bad game, but it's starting to get late. Get the 1st with enough time left and I am confident we can get the 2nd.

More likely to concede right now than score.
