And now it's just Amazon and Apple.

Even Apple is cutting budget while Amazon added ads. Profit is back as a metric for everyone for better or worse.

They aren't the only ones praying for MLS to flop. I will never understand these type of people. You don't like MLS, don't watch it, don't follow it, always say it sucks, so why does it matter so much what they do or don't do?

Every fandom has fans whose dislike of something is the central tenant of their interest. In soccer I guess MLS clashing at times with how things are done elsewhere just makes it a desirable target to oppose. See Donovan’s recent comments about how Reyna should come to MLS has left so many flipping out like he’s said something truly offensive.

We have a lot of those people in this forum, very negative about things, if you come with an idea they just want to destroy it, instead of creating a better one, and they feel like influencers when they aren’t.

As I was perusing Amazon Prime yesterday I came across the MLS Cup Final. Seems Amazon was showing it as well.

Anyone have numbers from the Fox broadcast for the final so certain people can proclaim MLS is dead?

Unless the number is really good it won't come out for a while I think.

    Which country?
It's available on Apple and "Top Sports" in the UK, the latter being available via Prime.

    USA.

Saturday night I was looking for something to watch and Amazon had it front and center. Long after the match had ended.

The Prime Video app has a portal to Apple TV+ content (you need an Apple TV+ subscription to watch it) and Apple TV+ apparently has the MLS playoffs available as on demand replays.

    No.
I have the Apple TV box and a subscription. I use Prime to watch movies. I don't have any subscriptions.

Signing Reyna as a DP would be quite risky as he just seems injury prone. You have three spots that take up a large portion of the budget and getting stuck with a DP that under performs can kill a team. Look no further than Chicago and Toronto for teams that have a DP that can't stay on the field.

I don't think Reyna taking up a DP slot is anything we'll need to worry about for a good few years.

No, but the sign a name instead of a player that fits is the point.

Plus, think of the parents! Might as well sign Shane O'Neill.

Whether or not the signing would be worth it is a different story. The meltdowns were from USMNT fans who were offended simply because the suggestion was made that Reyna should go to MLS. Which isn’t to say they shouldn’t disagree with the idea, that’s fair, but at some point I think our soccer culture needs to accept that some fans, pundits, or former players are going to prioritize MLS over the Europe or bust mentality.

And also that ex- players sometimes say things just to get a reaction. And if you give them a reaction they'll do it more often. Alexi has taken so far he talks total gibberish.

Not saying this was the case with Landon.
