Yup. Very big deal. Means you can now watch almost every service from the Prime Video app which is available on more devices than the Apple TV app.

Well it's a big deal of you already subscribe to Apple TV and don't have an Apple device. It's going to be compatible with Prime apps. It's already available on Fire TV and Roku. We have to see if it's an improvement on watching Apple using a browser.

Unrelated to MLS, the haggis eaters are up in arms because Scotland's NL games won't be on TV. Streaming only.

Going to happen to everything eventually I guess. MNF might be the last holdout stateside.

This is impressive because they had the free year for t Mobile promotion. Though I guess this year the playoffs are free, so that could be the reason.

What downgraded to ATV? Apple TV is an app. You mean you cancelled you subscription to + and still have an Apple ID?

Apple has the worst branding for their streaming service I've ever seen.

A lot of you are so negative the focus mostly on the empty glass, I am happy with ATV.

    So the
So the reason that the NFL has a huge TV ratings is because is free OTA it has nothing to do with being popular, I get it.

I love MLS season pass. Has nothing to do with the bad branding though.

Probably not, baseball is not as popular as soccer worldwide, and on top of that is Messi.

I mean, I find him pretty negative but in this case he's right. Having a physical device and a software platform both called Apple TV and their streaming service called Apple TV+ (but often referred to as Apple TV by the general public) is dumb branding.

Some MLB games are available globally. In the UK they're on TNT and Discovery+ (formerly BT Sport). I don't believe there's a subscription service for all games.

I should have been more specific. “Available on Apple TV+.” Since I think they’ve only done baseball and soccer, right?

    Thx,

    Jay!

You would think MLB might be popular in Japan this month.

More people watched the earlier rounds in Japan than in the USA.

It's big in Japan. The timing is hard though. The Japanese aren't known for slacking off work to watch sports on TV.

However they may catch a few innings before they head to the office/workplace.

They usually have a Friday Night doubleheader.
