The 2024 MLS TV thread

Africa has the same time zones as Europe.

Last year the media or the league was bemoaning the lack of access to Apple TV in Europe. It heralded the deal to make Apple channels available via Canal+ as a way of making MLS more accessible.

That's pointless if your target audience is anything other than insomniacs.

I think MLS could get a niche fanbase in Europe because it's different.

 

Seems like the only real international push they have made has been around Messi. Having full Spanish coverage makes it something they can sell in South America. Of course Messi is popular everywhere.

To really emphasize worldwide marketing they probably would need to add more languages. Expand French to more than one team's games. Maybe Portuguese or Arabic? Right now the worldwide aspect seems more like "Hey, you can get it if you want it."

Interesting that even if the NFL wanted to add more broadcast windows, it turns out that they cannot legally do that during the Fall.

For those dreaming of MLS in Copa Libertadores....... 10-12 hour flights one way..... likely makes that a non-starter.

 

Most other sports try to end their seasons early because of the NFL.

 

Will it be shown on X?

 

Number 6 on the list says that the game is exclusive to Peacock.

 

It was a Brazil - Musk reference.

 

I don't know what the tv coverage is within Brazil. Probably ESPN. It was never X.

 

X has been banned in Brazil.

No MLS360 tonight?

 

Not on

 

For 3 games at 7:30, 2 at 8:30 and 1 at 10:30????

They usually don't have 360 when there isn't a full (ish) slate of games.

 

I don’t really need 360 today I have 5 TVs in the leaving room

 

If you have an Apple TV box, you can have 4 games on the screen at once.......

 

When there are more than five games at the same time in one of the TVs I have the 360 show.

 

I don’t need a wife, I have my kingdom with my five girlfriends

 

Also I can have one game in 4 TVs , movie experience

 

I see the UFL will be featuring Friday night football this coming season. Wish MLS would follow with Friday & Sunday featured games.
