Stat from Rio to back this up - neither Rashford or Garnacho made a single tackle or interception yesterday.

We are meant to be a high pressing team ….

We can't keep sacking managers, time to make each player accountable as well.

I know everyone is wanting for Gyokees but is he that much more gifted than Zirkzee or Holjlund?

I think both our CFs have been criminally under used and suffer from a lack of service and commitment by teams mates.

As a CF, I don’t really see a future for Zirkzee. I hope to be wrong but I’m not seeing that instinct you get from an out and out 9. As a SS, however, he does a lot of good things. If we were to play with two forwards, I think he could play a big role.

Remember, this is a guy who couldn’t get into the Brighton team and was sold a division down before hitting his stride under Amorim at Sporting. He is 5 years older than Højlund and I would first see if Amorim can do the same with him.

also no guarantee with Gyokees being able to replicate his form in the PL. he didn’t previously.

    or three forwards [him included].

On paper and imo in small spurts, Zirkzee and Rashford seem to combine with each other more than any other duo. I cant present stats tho.

On paper, Zirkzee fits with players like Rashford and Garnacho. Hojlund doesnt.

    Crazy headed into the international break to think that as bad as we have been (and we have been bad) although we are down in lowly 13th we are only;

    - 1 point behind Postecoglou Spurs who seems to be a media darling immune to criticism
    - 3 points behind Unai Emery Aston Villa / Eddie Howe Newcastle
    - 4 points behind Arsenal & Chelsea (who are in the 3rd/4th CL places)

Liverpool look like they could run away with it. Arsenal and City getting a lot of slack from the media and many of their fans over their injuries, yet somehow don't recall the same sympathies for our injuries last season and start of this.

Still a lot of issues, but feels like there is something for RA to work with.

Zirkzee is over weight, read ETH was not keen on him and he when he arrived he was half stone heavy. He has good attributes but physically he is still not ready for PL football.

Our boy ate too much English food as soon as he landed. Refined stuff, too, like squab Wellington (flying rat in puff pastry) and scotched eggs (eggs hardboiled to the point where someone thought it would be smart to wrap it in something worse than toast). Somehow I imagine Dutch food to be even worse. In any case, he's not in Emilia-Romagna anymore with all them fine pastas.

Does anyone see us doing the Joe Kinnear thing at Wimbledon? 3 big men upfront full of hard running and hard hitting. Zirk and Rashy wide, Rasmus center.

nice message. i suppose he can get back to his own path now.

there were a lot of stupid questions arising about what he added to the attackers but aside from the short time frame, you can only do so much with attackers who lack the killer instinct (Zirkzee) and/or the desire (Rashford)

I have given up hope on Rashford, it's not even hot n cold streak with him. It's like something in him has died, maybe it's some mental disorder which we are not aware of.

TBH, despite Rashford continuing his trend of just falling off, I dont see a problem with him flying anywhere for his days off. Same with Casemiro. Just seems to be putting more negative attention on the club and players. There's a bunch of things you can pick on them for, but this seems petty.
