Yeah, pretty bad, but it looked offside to me anyway.

And then again, there were 4 sweet finishes.

This is why you sub in Jeffren* to get the 5th.

    Flick is no Pep, confirmed.

Yeah, I was hoping when Mbappe signed for them that he would throw off the team balance and chemistry. So far, that has been the case. They have also played worse than their record indicates.

Of course, still plenty of time for Ancelotti to figure things out.

We've just had a really good week. Haven't felt this good to be a Barca fan for a long time. I think our young core is fantastic and the players actually fit well together and seem to like each other which is never a guarantee.

One thing many didn't expect that Mbappe is so terrible at cheking opponent's defense.

    Next up:

The Derbi Barceloní, followed by a trip to Belgrade. Are these "trap games," or are they two wins waiting to happen, with opportunities for rotation?

Eric is out, and supposedly will be put up for sale in January.
Ferran is out, and he may have some family/friends who suffered from the flooding.
Araujo may return in time for Vigo.
    Christensen still out until January.

Until this season, I can't recall ever having to play on Sunday before a midweek CL match. This season its already the 3rd time it's happening to Barca in the first 4 CL matchdays (granted one of those CL ties occurred on Thursday).

This one seemed totally avoidable (Asspanyol didn't have to play their CdR match on Thursday).

Yeah, I'm not liking the new UCL format, with its potential for an expanding fixture list.

After the highs of the Bayer and Madrid matches, it's time for a good old local derby against Espanyol. Expect the team to go full blast and try to take care of business early as the team has had a full week of rest and Espanyol are 17th on the table and only have 1 point playing away. The midweek CL match is away against Serbian side Crvena Zvezda. I would like to see Frenkie start as he played well subbing in against Madrid and also Olmo. Even though the team rested this week, would like to see Pedri rotated.

Espanyol's coach said they will run like animals tomorrow and predicts a win as Barca has weaknesses. So I hope the team pounds them.

Lamine Yamal is essentially Quaresma's ideal footballer.

Let's all enjoy seeing him play for the next 2 weeks before he inevitably gets injured.

    Again.

    Nine points clear!

Surprised FdJ hasn't been fully integrated into OK regular starting XI still. Hope he is ok.

Man, the offside trap has been working, but its been nerve-wrackingingly close.

Its also a disappointment that the clean sheet and a goal for Robert weren't secured.

But, as @BocaFan mentioned, 9 points clear.

Great first half , feel like the team relaxed a bit in the second . But that’s fine … game was fairly safe and we can’t play all out all the time .

Another 3 points for the Flick Wagen !! Stellar 1st half followed by a subdued 2nd. I didn't think much of the 2nd half performance, but Flick isn't happy. So the lack of intensity and concentration wasn't a plan to save energy. I can't say how nice it feels to have a mid who takes shots from outside the box and steps into the box as well (Olmo). Although early in the game, he took a weak shoot at the goal when Lamine was wide open on the right.

Lamine has already matched last season's goal tally. Raphinha also matched his best La Liga season tally and surpassed his overall goals scored in a season for Barca. And it's November ... lets hope we can keep this up.
