Here early. Thought it might take awhile getting here, but totally easy. 20 min walk from Placa Español.
Here's a bit of context for the match: Young Boys' Transfers: https://www.transfermarkt.com/bsc-young-boys/transfers/verein/452 The sold 1.0MM, and bought a total of 1.65MM Euros in players. Their total transfer value is said to be ~66MM Euros. And, they're currently propping up their league table. The more I see this, the more I wonder why Osasuna was the match that Flick chose to do wholesale rotation, instead of THIS match. Let's just put this game away early, please.
Nice! Keep this coming; those of us stuck at work need the "Man On The Scene" reporting only YOU can provide today, sir!
YB playing for minimum damage. Defending deep in a low block and often very narrow making it hard for combination plays through the middle.
OK. Who are your changes at half? I'd like to see Fati for Lewandowski, and Torre for Yamal. [Move Ferran to the #9, and Raphinha to the right.]
He's always had great workrate, but pegging him to the wing really sold him short on his potential. Good on Flick to give him looser reins.
OK, subs. WTF are they? And WTF are Lewandowski and Yamal still on the field? This match is over, and those two are kinda-sorta important.
Really not much after the subs. Raphinha kept going hard. Ansu had decent short touches but when twice it came to sprint and stretch the game he couldn't get away from the defender.
Good result, although not much can be learned from this opponent. Happy to see the GD get to a respectable place. Also happy to see FDJ and Fati get some time. Hopefully the injury list is clean going into the break, and Gavi/Fermin/Olmo remain on track to return after the break.
