Along with the new format, there will now be CL matches on Thursday as well which is our 1st game against Monaco this week. So now there are CL games from Tuesday to Thursday. Crazy how they keep staggering games and now adding days of the week when matches are played.

Yeah, although the Thursday CL is a one-off thing. They are only doing it the first week to (I guess) showcase the new format and how many more interesting fixtures there are than previous seasons. Similarly, the Europa League opening matchday will have its own week next week when no CL matches are played.

It does interfere with la Liga a bit as there needs to be 3 matches played this week for teams having European games next week.

CL starts today for Barca. Don't know much about Monaco this season but they started off pretty well in Ligue 1 with three wins and a draw. Olmo is out but Fati makes the squad.

    Rep to you, sir.

Monaco did win the Gamper 0-3.

Here's hoping for an early lead, especially via goals by Lewandowski, so that he'll be chill insofar as being rotated, so as to be ready for the important Villarreal match coming up. [He, lke most #9s seems to get p!ssy if he doesn't score, and gets subbed.]

Stack wins, get rotation going, get and stay healthy.

Surprised Torres isn't starting since he can't play the next match. Also, Pedri looked especially good playing deeper in the previous match (behind Olmo and the attack).

Don't need Araujo to get an Araujo result.

Just a dumb pass from MAtS. Not sure I can blame Eric that much except for not saying ... don't give me the ball.

Raphinha really needed to be more aware of his surroundings there.

Pedri was caught sleeping just before the goal getting his pocket picked. Needs to wake up.

Pedri needs to get some smelling salts. Literally a give away merchant.

Flick needs to make tactical changes to hold the result. If he wants to play like this, we will concede 3 , 4 ... it's stupid to play like this.

Having Pedri not give the ball away (like he just did yet again) will help.

It really looks like a number of the players are kinda sleepwalking.

Such an early red card really sucks.

Some of the balls getting through it is like the defender doesn't want to try and block the lane or step out and intercept the pass.

I look at the bench and I can't even think of what subs to make. But we need to sacrifice a forward to add a midfielder or defender. We are literally the worse team in the world at playing a man down.
