Because one Kelvin Da Costa has a 'bigger' following than the other with more 'hits'

If anybody at U.S. Soccer is reading this, please release a roster so we can stop talking about @SUDano's search history for at least a short while.

Was he hired because he lives in Chicago?

  10. Maybe, maybe not.

How ironic that the last U-17 coach gets hired and fired by the Chicago Fire and is succeeded by someone who played 231 games with the Fire and coached in the Fire Academy.

Hire local I guess. Maybe they were neighbors?

He was hired because he’s basically been the u17 YNT coach ever since Rafa Wicky got fired and has a good enough resume to merit the hire. Everyone I’ve talked to is optimistic about him

I don't know how good of an in-game coach he is, but he ticks a lot of boxes.

Now that the U17 coach doesn't work with the youngsters on a day-to-day basis (in Bradenton), the requirements are drastically different.

  14. Kids he coached in the Fire Academy damn near ran through brick walls for him. Segares may be wise to bring in his former Academy HC Stan Anderson, who is GK coach at FC United. Anderson is widely considered to be a top notch tactician.

How he is as an in game coach is to be determined but what’s most important is how he is as a talent evaluator. Past YNT cycles have shown that the YNT results have no correlation to the success of the future prospects, 2019 is a perfect example of this

I don’t mind Cairney. Only seen him play once. Didn’t play well in the game I saw, but I thought he might have good potential.

I suspect that announcement means that no other players at that club were called in. I would’ve liked to see Kabuusu called in.

That is great, but he was hired as the U15 coach because he lived in Chicago? Or is he living in Chicago, the most important requirement for a USSF coach, because he was the U15 coach?

I wonder if with all the covid zoom meetings if the Chicago requirement can go away.

It doesn't seem that Covid had any effect but to shut down the program. Now it is back and Chicago still seems to be a requirment. Maybe if they had continued through some of the pandemic with actual coaches in place, they would have learned something about zoom.
