You can see which games are on + vs. season pass, but I don't see a 3rd category. Also, most content is currently free (but not the old games).
Where in the world did you find that option? I don't seem to have it on my Apple TV app on the Mac. It looks exactly like the site. EDIT - found it on Fire TV app, but not on the Mac app. How strange. Hmm how am I going to watch on my computer then... Not good.
Samesies. Maybe you can wait a few weeks for the edge case platforms to get updated with that ability or you can submit a request to Apple Support.
Edge case platforms like browsers and android phones? Also Macbooks. Super edge case, just applies to a majority of people in the world lol
One thing I did not expect is the ultra-prominent placing all over Apple TV. Since its only their second channel, its given equal placing to +. Very impressive for MLS. Not going to convince anyone to sign up, but impressive.
On my TV it was easy, it was in the settings. On my apple iphone, it was harder, I had to go to the external "settings" app and then find the appletv section there and it was in there. It was not something that could be reached inside appletv. On my browser, seems to be impossible to turn off scores. Which sucks. Hope they fix.
Sucks big time for my use case. I might have to connect my spare fire tv to my monitor or something crazy like that if they don't change this. Can confirm that Apple TV is not a part of external settings on the Mac.
Hmm the score is just a div element overlayed on the video thumbnail. Should be very easy to make a greasemonkey script to just hide it. However, I don't know how to make greasemonkey scripts, so I can't do it. EDIT: SUCCESS!!! Got my ad blocker to do it. DOUBLE EDIT: OH NO!!!! There is another score when you click through! lol TRIPLE EDIT: Those are blockable too. Yay, hooray.
“With Season Pass, MLS hopes Apple’s gravitas can accelerate its growth” (TheAthletic.com - Wednesday, 2/1/23) -G
Spent my lunch hour checking out some of the free content on the Rapids page. I'm impressed, especially given that I expected Colorado to drop the ball on this. Their 16+ minute team profile is really well done, and the separate 3+ minute video on the C38 Man of the Match Oar tradition was good to see. I did get a laugh out of the Carlos Valderrama player profile that featured a grand total of 1 highlight of him in a Rapids uniform. The rest of the 3-4 minutes were clips from his Mutiny and Fusion days. Fun to see those old highlights.
If I sign up for MLS on my Fire Stick will I be able to watch it on the Prime Video app on my Android?
No - it won't be a prime Video channel. Hopefully you get a native Android App soon. You can use the browser on your phone to access it but you will need to create an appleID.
I don't think Apple will allow any teams to drop the ball. They are watching all the content, and FOs will be getting angry phone calls if they don't nail it.
There's "dropping the ball" in "not getting anything posted" and then there's "dropping the ball" in "doing the minimum effort by stitching together some b-roll for 2 minutes". Sounds like some teams fell into the latter category (I've seen Chicago and Salt Lake mentioned as particularly poor on Twitter already). Colorado was, surprisingly to me, not in either category.
What OS are you running? I believe you have to be on Ventura 13.2 in order to see Season Pass within the Apple TV App. I'm currently on Monterey, and Season pass isn't showing in the App.
I see season pass. I just don't see the setting to disable scores. No matter, I hacked my browser to do it.
---------------- At first glance, all these extra shows look interesting. Drone view of stadiums also mentioned in other threads I can see some real binge watching coming up this year
