Move Rashford to the 9 position.

    You can do the following:
    - Move Sancho to the left and play Elanga on the right
    - Keep Sancho on the right, move Bruno on the left and play Eriksen in the 10
    - Keep Sancho on the right, move VDB to the left
    - Move Sancho to the left, and play Diallo on the right

How about Eriksen as a wide playmaker on the right and Sanch on the left?

I'd rather play Ronaldo than Elanga or Diallo.

Id rather play Diallo than Elanga.

Id rather play Garnacho than those two.

Ronaldo needs to sit on the bench for missing pre-season tour and all the commotion.

Agreed on Diallo. Though Diallo is better than Garnacho.

Personally, I'd play a front 3 of Bruno, Rashford and Sancho.

MF of Fred, Eriksen and McT (sigh).

I am. He is injured. Disappointing but this is a minor injury. Maybe he recovers in time for the game on Sunday. He has a few more days to go.

Hard to say for Sunday. Cristiano could very well start. Rashford deserves the nod more I would think. Brighton made a mockery of us. It's no small test for ten Hag that's for sure.

This is why Martial can’t be counted on. He’s either hurt or out of form way too often. This was probably his one chance to start ahead of Ronaldo and hit the ground running to possibly cement a spot. Now ETH will be forced to start Ronaldo or actually might start Rashford which means we have to deal with Elanga on the LW doing nothing.

So…can we get a forward or winger in this window? Because this shit is ridiculous.

With Martial injured, would like to see Garnacho LWF and Rash #9 - even if not from the start given Ronaldo more likely at #9.

Suspect though it will be Rash / Ronaldo / Sancho from the start with Elanga coming on for Ronaldo owing to lack of pre-season.

For me Garnacho showed more pre-season in one game than Elanga.

I was high on Elanga, not so much anymore. I am following the @Ruud v.Nistelrooy 10 on this one. He falls in front Chond behind Diallo Garnacho Pellistri in that order.

Elanga is a good lad, but needs time to mature still. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Garnacho and Diallo.

me?? i haven't ranked him anywhere.

i just said don't write him off based on performance in the worst side in 30 years. i also said he isn't the finished article. how much he develops remains to be seen

It's not that, so much as I just think Bruno is a better, more dangerous offensive weapon than the other options.

There was a poster that did not rate Elanga and I did. After watching him more in the first team I was wrong and I do not rate him. I do not rate his technical ability as a winger.

part of his danger is arriving a bit later or, supporting play.

It also takes away from his passing.

eriksen has played 65 minutes of football plus whatever he did in the Wrexham game. When he tires eventually, ur gonna sub in Elanga?

^ I think in that case Bruno would drop back if Eriksen comes off for Elanga.

Ole played Pogba on the left and he fared ok there. I think it will work similarly with Bruno.

well we begin again tomorrow and we'll see how that goes.

i just hope everyone is open to the possibility of us getting worse before we get better or another mediocre season and don't turn on ten Hag if that happens. we've all seen the lack of backing of ten Hag already and as good as anyone might think he is he can't remove the limitations of players as much as he might try to mitigate them. the same players that have let us down before.

hopefully he does well and make progress it certainly won't be by design at least not from a recruiting standpoint. i really don't want to see another bad manager failure story unfold because ten Hag doesn't deserve that

    Reminder :)

Dont need glasses to see the problems …

Open-heart surgery on the playing staff - ‘not a little here and a little there’ (which would characterise our window) …

Also top people in the jobs around the manager - dont think he had Murtough in mind … :)

We whine too much. Fred and Scott are we who we have. If de Jong comes, great, but ten Hag needs to play the hand he's dealt as best as possible. He does this, he proves he's a proper coach.

He's not completely stuck. Personally, I would start all three of Varane, Maguire and Lisandro and change to a 3-5-2. I would encourage Lisandro (or Lindelof) to step into the midfield to fill in the gaps

Whatever is done, ten Hag should find a way to plug away at the midfield. Carrick did this by playing Matic together with Fred and Scott. We got decent results when he did this.
