Underwhelming performance altogether by Morocco. Very wasteful in the beginning, can't even create something now. Against Iran no less.
Perhaps now all the Morrocan youth players in Holland will reconsider which NT they want to play for!!!
I donot think it's a quality option/decision. It's a environment/family pressured choice for most. Just a few days ago there was a programm about the first Moroccon in Orange Dries Boussata. Man, the filthy remarks he got yelled to his head in the Orange vs Morocco match
Bjorn Kuipers called a very nice match today and could end up with a semi-final or even final if he keeps up the good work.
He didnot win. Would've been nice if he had put a major dent into their confidence going up against us in the NL.
I think because Russia doesnt let in many immigrants is the reason for this. I'll bet you'll find very few Egyptians or Uruguayans living there. Plus its also very far to travel from Uruguay just to see a match
I thought there was a clear push into Miranda's back for the Zuber goal. Why the feck do they even bother having VAR if they're not gonna use it??!!
Because they could call this on every single ball into the box every single time. Go over to the referee's forum, there is a big discussion of VAR on every WC game.
Too early to tell. You don't want to peak early (but at the same time has enough to advance to the next round). One good game so far, Spain-Portugal. Mexico-Germany is not bad.
No, they should just review it on a controversial goal, which is what this was. I'm kinda pissed because I got $1,000 USD riding on Brazil making the QF. (return is $500)
I liked what I saw from Belgium. Was skeptical at first about two of the best playmakers in today’s football (De Bruyne and Hazard) co-existing, but it looked like they passed the eye-test. Lukaku is a beast. I think Belgium will go deep in the tourney. Loaded with talents, and Martinez is a solid manager. Anything short of a semifinal would be a disappointment to our neighbor friends.
I was hoping Tunisia could hold on for the draw but they really muffed defending the corner leaving Kane all alone. Even so, I don't think I've seen a team as comfortable passing the ball in tight spaces as Tunisia. They always seemed to know where the open man was, reminiscent of Oranje teams of days long past.
