Shocker (not). Grimes should have tried to be a Democrat instead of a Republican -- if people want to vote for a Republican, they'll vote for the one with the R after their name.

Oh, hey, is there a drinking game? Preferably something that will let us remain conscious until polls close in California, about four hours from now?

While you're watching results come in, shed a tear for the absolute worst voting system in the modern world, then get angry at yourself when you think about how chances are really good that you voted for people who perpetuate this atrocity.

How about a shot whenever mastershake weighs in with a hyperbolic frenzy of self righteousness?

Sounds a lot like conservatives blaming loses on not being conservative enough.

She still would have lost if she acted like a Democrat, but it would be nice to find out if she loses by less that way.

All old-school P&CE regulars know that her real crime was in using that last name without demanding frequent and fervent hailing. Hail (the original) Grimes!

    Yeah probably not you.

IMO, you can't criticize our current disaster of a political system and support the (horribly named) first past the post system. It's terrible and enables much of this.

NY Times does tracking that shows where the votes have been counted.

Lots of heavily blue areas not done yet apparently.
