Well since our guys didn't make it, but we are still here, I thought it will be good to have a thread where we can discuss all related to the last part of the competition.

I, for one, do not have other MLS team that will like to win this year cup beside my Quakes, but for sure I have the ones that don't want them to win it at all, LA Seattle and New York are the one I really don like, for the rest I don't care either way.

Also I think, it will be ok if we post scores before the 24 hrs (since the [R] in the thread tittle) but I'll leave it to the mods to call this one.

    Discuss....

What a game for RSL ! the second goal , it was awesome !
Seattle will have to work really hard to get this one back in their pocket...but hopefully they won't ! :p

Galaxy utilizing the old bunker and counter that RoboBob made infamous. Pathetic.

Could someone please put up a link to highlights (like Goodsport does with the Quakes highlights)? Match Day Live won't let me in because I'm outside the US and Canada.

So far, it feels as though the teams that were supposed to win have won. Note that our 2003 upset is still mentioned frequently on these broadcasts. It truly was an anomaly (or a miracle, for those of us who were there and will never forget) and I doubt there will be many surprises ahead.

I predict a LA-Dynamo final. (Now that the cup game is back in the toolbox, you know LA has to be there.) In the unlikely event that LA loses to RSL, I might even go to the championship game if I'm in LA that weekend.

Guess I was trying to go in the wrong way. I tried it now, went to video and then to highlights and I've got them. No warning message. Looks okay.

I actually see RSL making it to the final.

I maybe biased by saying this, but I don't see the Galaxshit making it,
bunker/counter attack will work only with the stupid Red Bulls and still they struggle to win the game.

anyways, still way to early to pick winners and losers.

so Mods, we are ok if we post final scores right ?

We have an R, so I don't think anyone has any business complaining. Besides, the playoff scores are making it into the mainstream news -- I found out the NYRB/Gag-me score when I was trying to avoid it.

That was my thought on Minute 80. Juan needs to be somewhere where he can get minutes (hopefully with a new coach). Also, coined a new term for Arena's style of play:

    Americatenaccio.

That game was as exciting as getting fillings put on my back molar.

Maybe not even as exciting, but definitely cheaper.

We recorded it and after the 70th minute, fast-forwarded to the end. The fight was arguably the most thrilling minute of the day.

SKC vs Rapids was equally unwatchable. I'm not sure it's going to be worth investing the time to watch the second half of any of these games except maybe Seattle-RSL.

If the Quakes is not my team, the Quakes game like many MLS games are rather boring in general.

Let's not blow that game out of proportion. LA-NY had a lot of good moments. Not for 90 minutes but that fight at the end made the return leg interesting. One thing I loved seeing was the commitment from the two DPs. You cannot say either Becks or Henry did not want to win. Everything that is wrong with NY is summed up by 2 of their DPs. People hate on Beckham because he cannot take guys on, but Rafa Marquez is worthless. He cannot distribute the ball, he won't track back, and half of his passes are made backwards by the slightest pressure from the opposition. The other is Frank Rost. WTF would you waste a DP slot on a GK Backe? It's not like this country doesn't produce any good ones.

Speaking of GK's would us trading for Agudelo in exchange for John Busch be a bad deal? Bingham from what I've seen is the future anyways.

Lastly, would Mac Kandji not be a good player to get? He doesn't start for Colorado even with all the injuries and going forward he can take guys on, which is something we lack.

I'd like Kansas City to win it all this year but the fix is already in for the filth to celebrate at the Toolbox.

I fear that you are right. Also, if we're not in it, I don't give a #$%& about the playoffs.

Actually, Areana and Bora made it infamous before Bob, but you may not be old enough to remember...;)

You know what's annoying? Before you can watch those highlight clips, about half the time they make you sit through an annoying and sometimes borderline obscene ad featuring Baby Judas. It makes me hate MLS.

Seattle looking for a Quake-like comeback against RSL. From the Tacoma News Tribune:

    1) It's not every clip and 2) they probably just do it to spite me.

Gatorade ads. A very long 30 seconds long.

I think he was recovering from a torn ACL that season. I don't remember seeing much of him.
