Yeah, it's sad to think that such a great NBA season might be followed by a lengthy lock-out...
I might offer that his ego might be right up there, also . . .
How do I embed a picture? Because I have a good one.

I missed the last two games, unfortunately. I know I know.. I get called out for being a Basketball fan without watching atleast the finals. I am a Dj, and summer time gets pretty busy for me, and I always had to be creative and find ways to watch the Lakers whenever they are in the finals. Everyone is graduating right now and I have been busy. Nevertheless, I know there is a lot of attention and media hype over Miami, as they pretty much brought them on to themselves, but the league is wide open and Miami has room and time to improve in the future. While I did think they had the potential to win it all this year (back when LeBron first came to Miami), and I also believed that they were a year or two away from winning the title. I think the Mavs have pretty much reached their pinnacle, perhaps in the next year they can win another title, but I see them going downhill; whereas, I see Miami, Chicago, and OKC making improvements and gaining more playoff experience.
I could not see your image, so I will repost it:
Really? Best owner?
Iverson wants to come back to the NBA I will be content with Rose or/and Nash winning it, just as long it is not James.
Wonder what Miami fans are saying/thinking about Lebron these days.
When he stood back and had the commish present the Larry O'Brien trophy to original Mavs owner Donald Carter, I think that said all you needed to know. It was a class move all the way from a guy who recognized that the team's history didn't start when he bought it in 2000.
Certainly, he has a classy side. Here he is later on in the evening. Not quite the same. Again, my point was that his ego was pretty big.
Props to the Mavs, again, per post 1051.
He's a billionaire and an NBA franchise owner. He's supposed to have a big ego.
I hope he buys them rings along with whatever else he originally had planned. If he doesn't, that will be a strike against him.
If I could be like Dirk

/\ rofl. Kind of dumb but the hook at the end is the best.
Dirk sings We Are The Champions. Three times.
Here's a small sample:

BTW, his opening salute of "Take that with you!" from the video above came from his brief spell as color commentator during his injury rehab in the regular season.

Ugh, my ears are bleeding.
They are all hung over.
was hoping the thread would close with this one....
Here is a very touching story highlighting the human spirit and determination. I hope you all give it a look.
Wow, puts things in the proper perspective. Great story. Now I want the kid to fall to the Spurs and I've never even seen him play.
Lots of similarities with Michael Orr and his story.
I am rooting for this guy. The world needs people like him to succeed.
You guys read about Marcus Cannon. The left tackle out of TCU who found out he had cancer (Non Hodgkins Lymphoma) 2 weeks before the draft, during the combine. Unbelievable story about the ups and downs of life.
He fights back from that, drops nearly a 100 places in the draft, no team wants him and then bam, he gets drafted by Bill Bellichik and the New England Patriots.
Reminds me of story of the Zen Master and the Boy.
This is kind of fun- an all time draft league- Nowitzki wins another title!
Very happy that the Bulls were able to draft Jimmy Butler with the last pick in the first round. Should fit in well both on and off the court.
